"rin?" (name) called out, making the dark green haired male, rin, turn his head around to see (name) standing there silently and a bit awkwardly. rin's eyes widened a bit as a soft pink hue dusted his cheeks. rin huffed and looked back at his phone and going silent.

(name) noticed that rin seemed to be in a trance while staring at the phone so rin walked over to rin and sat down beside rin on the edge. (name) stared at the pretty sunset for a moment before curiosity took over him and he peeked on rin's phone to see what got rin so silent.

'people are questioning itoshi sae's last play' was right at the top in bold as (name) looked at the phone quietly. rin then sighed and shoved his phone into his pocket. the wind blew against their hair as they sat in silence for a moment before (name) spoke up.

"..what are you thinking about?" (name) questioned while still looking at the sunset. rin sucked in a breath quietly, both of them were still staring at the sunset before rin spoke, "..in that moment during the u-20 match. i no doubt had won against nii-chan." rin said, his hands tucked into his pockets.

(name) began to recall the time where rin was all drooling and salivating making him shiver slightly at the sight. (name) remembered it like it was like yesterday. the entire match was definitely something (name)'s brain will keep forever. (name) then urged rin to continue what he had to say.

"my offense kept up closely with his when i obeyed my instincts on wanting to destroy him completely. i drew out that step of his that he was so good at.. and then i stopped him by a hair's breadth." rin said as he shifted slightly in his seat. his legs crossed and he glanced at (name) who was clearly listening intently while staring somewhere else.

rin had never really spoke about what he thought or felt but with (name) he felt warmth and rather safe. almost like he could trust (name) with so many things that he wanted to keep to himself for so long. so, rin continued on.

"it felt new, yet nostalgic. like my veins were dancing.. however, i don't really understand that side of me." rin said as he looked up at the sky and spoke once more. his tone growing slightly softer. "it seemed that nii-chan knew about that part of me. yet i didn't. those impulses.. were destructive and liberating." rin said and looked at (name) to see what (name) had to say.

(name) looked back at rin. the two boys stared at each other for a while before. (name) spoke his opinion or rather thought on this revelation of rin's. "maybe he wants to bring that ego out of you." (name) said bluntly before staring back down at his lap.

rin had the exact same thought that (name) did but he bit his bottom lip, trying to deny it as rin was stuck with his own thoughts about how sae chose and recognized not him, but isagi. rin quietly stood up as he reflected on what he had to do next. a look of determination on his face now that he knew that he must change to beat sae and isagi.

(name) was still sitting down while looking at rin with a slight shine in his eyes when he saw the look of determination on rin's face. (name) can tell what rin was thinking of and is actually quite glad rin was going to push himself further. (name)'s hand rested on rin's shoulder as they stared at each other for a while in silence.

rin sat down again after finding his new goal. they sat beside each other quietly. not making any sounds and it wasn't a type of awkward silence, it was a peaceful as both rin and (name) had a content look on their faces. they weren't speaking but their presence for each other made it quite cozy and warm.

their peace was disturbed from a ding on rin's phone. rin took his phone out of his pocket and saw that the blue lock second phase was starting. (name) glanced at the screen for a second and grabbed his phone. looking at the messages from ego saying that blue lock second phase was starting and (name) needed to return soon to help create a device so the players could understand each other.

(name) rolled his eyes and stood up after rin did. they waved each other goodbye and parted ways to head off. it was getting late as (name) took a cab to go to the blue lock facility. he was just scrolling through social media till an unknown number messaged him.
