Shutting the front door behind me, Grayson pinned me to the back of it, kissing me again. After kissing me in the car, he'd ordered me to buckle up and had driven home with the burning tension hanging in the air. I'd known something was going to happen when we'd gotten home, and I'd been right.

Except I was still embracing new Jackie, Jackie who was twenty-four now and a little bit reckless. Pulling away briefly, I shook my head and said, "Nuh uh. My birthday, my rules." I grabbed the collar of Grayson's shirt and whirled around, using his own momentum to pin him to the door. I could tell that for a moment, he was a bit shocked, but then he melted into it. He welcomed the pressure I put on his mouth, which only made me more confident.

"I don't know where this side of you is coming from, but it's the hottest thing I've ever seen," he rasped.

"As it should be. You like me in control, don't you?" I asked, switching to kissing down his jaw.

"I...maybe." Grayson closed his eyes, dropping his head back against the door. "Okay, yes."

Pretending to step back, I drifted away momentarily. His eyes flew open, and I grabbed his hand and pulled him through the living room then into his room. I could feel his surprise even just through holding his hand, but he said nothing.

Another kiss was ignited, although I wasn't sure by who. I lightly shoved him back onto the bed, surprised at how easily he fell. Grayson pulled me down on top of him, still kissing me senseless. He did this with such grace, such ease, that I couldn't help but admire it. His hand still held the back of my neck, letting me kiss him with a burning longing that I'd never felt before. This was ten times more powerful, more aching than any kiss we'd shared, even the one from a few days ago.

Grayson managed to sit up against the headboard with a soft thunk of his head, still breathless. I sat down in his lap, and almost immediately his hands went to my waist, the weight of his fingertips scalding hot on my skin. I cupped his jaw, still drawing out the long, desperate kisses.

"This needs to come off," he said gruffly, tugging on the hem of my dress. I didn't hesitate and pulled it up over my head, blindly tossing it somewhere behind me. I was at least thankful that when I'd gotten dressed this morning, I'd chosen the normal gray bra and matching underwear. Maybe I'd done that consciously; I didn't know. His gaze traveled down my body, but only for a moment as I crushed my lips to his again. Except then things shifted, with Grayson kissing down the side of my neck towards my collarbone. The sensation was almost overpowering, making me pulse and tremble. Still running on bold adrenaline, I slipped my hands under the hem of his shirt. He immediately understood and took it off, sending my emotions crashing.

"Darling, you're so beautiful," Grayson murmured, pressing light kisses to the curve of my neck.

"I—" I wasn't even sure what I'd been about to say when he harshly bit me, creating a painful kiss. Heat surged through me, begging for more. A faint moan escaped my lips, and for a second I hadn't even realized I'd done it.

        Then.

        It.

        Clicked.

You know when you're a little kid and you're playing with magnets and the evil side of you tries to force the north ends together or the south ends together? That's what happened to Grayson and me.

He shoved my shoulders at the exact second I scrambled back. Blushing furiously, I grabbed a nearby pillow and held it to my chest. Grayson was flustered too and sat up straight, mortified.
