Hindi ako mapakali. Hindi ko alam kung nakailang tapik na ba ang dulo ng sapatos ko sa sahig sa kakahintay na matapos si Daniel sa pagsasalita sa harap. Kating kati na akong lapitan ang katabi niyang lalaki na nasa normal lamang na ekspresyon. Nasa gilid ang dalawang kamay at diretso ang tindig.

His muscles were toned, maybe because of the training and missions he had. His skin became more tan, which made him more manlier.

If I were a girl who had a crush on him before, I wouldn't stop drooling now.

The side of my lips curl up for a smile.

Damn it, why they all grow so much better? The guilt of leaving them before subsides because they all become better on their own. They became independent and achieved all of their dreams without me.

Parang kahapon lang, hindi pa ako makatulog kakaisip sa kanila kung kailan titigil na hanapin ako. Ngayon, halos tingalain ko na lahat dahil sa tangkad at mga may kanya kanya nang pangalan na nabuo sa kani-kanilang industriya na piniling tahakin.

I witness all of it. I saw how they struggled to move on without my presence and how they started to pursue their field.

It was not easy to leave them, but I can say it's all worth it. They all become successful now. Wala man ako sa tabi nila habang inaabot ang kanya-kanyang pangarap, kontento na ako na mapagmasdang naging mabuti ang bunga ng lahat.

"Is that your friend? He's quite hot." Celeste whispered beside me. Nakatunghay rin kay Pierce. Napalingon naman si Roshan na katapat namin dahil sa bulong na iyon ni Celeste. Ngumuso siya.

"I'm hotter." Roshan butted in. Sabay kaming lumingon ni Celeste sa kaniya at nag-taas ng kilay.

"Pierce will join us on our missions starting tomorrow." anunsyo naman ni Daniel na nagpabalik sa amin ng tingin sa harap.

"He has already had missions since he served in the military. He has a good record and credentials, so I didn't have a second thought to accept him on our organization. He also has a trustful background since one of our agents here is connected to him." Daniel glanced at me, and I crossed my arms. The ends of my shoes were still tapping the floor as I leaned more on my seat.

Pierce looked at me with a smug smile on his lips.

Kumislot ang labi ko.

I am surprised to see Pierce here joining us in the organization. Bukod pa roon, gulat ako na tinanggap siya ni Daniel rito. Noon, ayaw niyang makita ko ang kahit isa sa mga last section. Pinagbawalan niya pa ako noon, kaya anong ihip ng hangin ang nagpabago sa isip niya?

Hindi ko nga lang alam kung sa mga sumunod na taon ba ay nalaman niya ang mga simpleng pagpupuslit ko kapag natatapos sa mga misyon o kaya'y kapag may bakanteng oras. Para lamang panoorin ng palihim ang ilang last section.

Maybe he knew. After all, he's good at observing things. Perhaps he didn't confront me about it and let me do my prohibited business since it didn't affect my past missions.
