Smriti's POV -

"I guess they were right." I muttered, tears refusing to halt their flow.

"Everyone, my parents, my family, those bullies... maybe they were right. I'm weak. I don't deserve the love you and your family shower on me." I fought to control my sobs, but my attempts were futile.

The past 20 minutes were spent narrating the day's mishaps to Vivek. Despite my multiple efforts to avoid breaking down in front of him, I failed each time. In the end, I couldn't escape the truth that I might not be worth all the trouble Vivek was enduring for me.

"Smriti..." Vivek's voice carried a tone of sadness.

"I am not worth it, Vivek." I intended it to be a statement, but it came out as a mere whisper.

"Shh." Vivek cooed, gently wiping away my tears and enveloping me in his comforting embrace.

However, something inside me resisted, and I kept repeating the same words even as Vivek tried to calm me down by running his fingers through my wet hair. He then held my wrist with his free hand, intentionally pressing his thumb on my pulse.

After a minute, he held my face in his hands, peering into my eyes and saying firmly, "You need to calm down, Smriti." But those words only intensified my emotional outburst. I could hear Vivek trying to bring my attention to him but nothing seemed to work. It was as if all his words were falling on deaf ears.

"Smriti, listen to me." Vivek implored, tightening his grip on my face. The abruptness of his action made me pay attention, suddenly wanting me to give all my control to him.

"You need to calm down." He insisted, stressing on each and every word.

"Please make me forget everything." I pleaded pathetically in a whisper. I desperately wanted to erase the events of the day from my mind. I know it is not the end of the world but i'm not able to bring myself to forget about it. Nothing is helping to numb my mind. At this point, I am exhausted just by constantly thinking what has happened today.

"I think you need to be reminded of your worth and why I'll end up choosing only you in every life. " Vivek said, looking deep into my eyes with an emotion I couldn't quite decipher.

"I think you need to be reminded of your worth and why I'll end up choosing only you in every life. " Vivek said, looking deep into my eyes with an emotion I couldn't quite decipher.

Before I could make sense of it, his lips were on mine, and all coherent thoughts escaped my mind. As his lips moved fervently against mine, I felt like I was being consumed by his passion. His touch was electrifying, sending shivers down my spine. All I could do was surrender to the moment and let myself be carried away by the intensity of our kiss.

Vivek pulled away for a brief moment, his gaze still fixed on me. 'I want you to know, Smriti, that you are worth everything to me.' He said, his voice sincere and full of emotion.

I couldn't help but feel my heart flutter at his words. But before I could respond, he silenced me with another kiss. This time, it was even more intense, as if he wanted to show me just how much I meant to him.
