Chapter 19: Trip To Library

It has been two weeks since the originals started training. Just like any other day from the past two weeks, today also the group was getting ready to train. Eloise was waiting down stairs for other, she had a pair of grey sweatpants and grey oversized hoodie on, her fading midnight blue hair braided, by Indigo. Soon Aveil and Levi came down stairs, Eloise noticed the change in his physique not only his but Levi also, the guys were getting buff, maybe due to intense combat training. Aveil's shoulder had broadened a bit his biceps flexing while he wore his blue Hoodie jacket, while Levi on the other hand, his chest muscles and his abs can be easily traced as he wore a tight black turtleneck, his usual silver necklace hung on his neck. Both the boys came and stopped in front of Eloise "Where's Thief?" Levi inquired. Eloise snapped out of the trance and replied
"She said she'll be down in a minute and btw you should really stop calling her that" She spoke in a stern voice obviously hurt of her friend calling her other friend by disrespectful names. "Why should I she is a thief, I would stop calling that when she proves me that she isn't a thief anymore" he shrugged Aveil was about to say something when someone cut him off. "And I don't need to prove anything to you because you...are nothing to me" Indigo said while ascending down from the last stair. Indigo looked different today, in a good way she had a white t-shirt with dark blue print on it with matching shorts that reached her knees and her usual braided blonde hair, were let free parted in middle, making it frame her face and pop her winter blue eyes. There was an intense tension between the two nemesis and sensing that Aveil interrupted their intense eye contact said "Hey, let's go out yeah? I think the trainers are waiting" Eloise agreed with him grabbing Indigo's hand and pulling her out of the house. "You look good today by the way" Eloise complimented Indigo trying to divert her attention from the previous interaction, which was clearly bothering her, Indigo was not someone who would show their vulnerability to others but she trusted Eloise enough to let her in.
"Um-hmm I think it's because of the clothes Eleodora bought for us, I don't even know where she got it from but these are nice" Indigo said looking down at her clothes internally thankful to the kind lady. The trainee group approached near Carter's house as that has become their meeting spot with their trainers. "Good morning guys!" Roman greeted them, even though Roman was not a trainer he still visited and spent time with them daily, by making them breakfast someday or taking them on walks in the forest and after that he just vanishes to no one knows where. The originals have a chorus of
"Hi Roman"
"Hey"
"So everyone ready for the day?" Sonny asked. The trainees nodded their heads in determination. "Good, today we are going to do something else" Zephyr hinted. Eloise's eyes glowed
"We are not training today?"
"We are but in a different way" he replied much to dismay. Training's has been wearing down the Originals more than they'd like to agree, doing combats with fire being thrown at you or trying to gather your thoughts and grow plants, accidentally creating small storms and trying to bring out more magic was tiring them physically and mentally.
"We are going to learn about your powers today" Carter revealed finally pitying the innocent and tired faces. Celeste smiled as the group of Originals flooded with relief. "We'll be heading to the town's library today, there are some books that contains information about your powers and Roman is going with us too" Celeste gestured to the man standing on her right wearing a pair of light pink shirt and pink pants covered with pieces of confetti and sparkle.

This was the first time the group was witnessing the town as the guardian of the town lived in outskirts of it. The housing trees in the town were little smaller compared to the ones on the outskirts. They were in quite some distance rather than dense, some people had small stalls made of wood and fabric outside their houses with some products or essentials on them, the way of buying things in Lumierè was to exchange gold cards made of copper, sliver and gold. The originals were busy looking at the town, that is when Sonny told them this was where the market starts. It wasn't very different from the ones in mortal world, stalls of bakery items, clothes and some types of herbs were seen. Soon the group reached a massive tree bigger than they have ever seen, it was a redwood tree to be specific.

There were doors of metal on the entrance. The group climbed some flights of stairs and then coming to sit on a large group table while Roman went of to find the books, the inner walls of the trees were stacked with books and according to Carter there were 85 floors in the library. Roman came back soon with two books in his hand, he handed one to Celeste that read "Unique Powers In The Magical World".
"Okay let's see what we have in here" Celeste said flipping through pages "yeah here it is Pryokinesis also known as the power of fire manipulation. The one with this type of power can generate high temperature flames, and heat which can burn down cities to ashes in no amount of time. One can consume fire by their body or hurl fire at their foes" Sonny looked at Levi before saying "well that's a good thing you can consume fire now we know that but we'll have to try it out"
"If I can consume it why did I get burned" Levi questioned.
"Maybe you're not Pyrokinesis Resistance, you can get burned but if you practice enough you can consume it according to this book" she explained.
She further continued "Atmokinesis also known as weather manipulation,is one of the most powerful abilities in existence, where one has the full control of manipulating every form of the weather itself. The full power of these abilities remain unknown as none of the gods or titans seem to hold that much of power only three protogeons are known Aither, Ouranos and Gaea and the two Olympians Zeus and Demeter are known to have full extent...If one loses control over their ability and releases the powers full extent can cause massive destruction" she paused.
"Now don't interrupt me I'll read everything out now.." she flipped through pages once again "Agrokinesis is the ability to physically summon, create or manipulate plants and vegetation. The one with this ability can control wood, rock soil, roots, fruits and flowers even moss" She flipped through pages "Lastly, Hydrokinesis" Indigo straightened up "—the power to manipulate any form of water to any desired shape or mold. One can control its form in solid liquid or gas and construct it in form of a tool or weapon...no mentions of users with this ability is known except Poseidon, Amphitrite and Gaea...if the person with this ability loses its control terrible tsunamis can be cause of it, the one with this ability can breathe underwater, their body will accommodate itself in a way that this person can live like a water being in the ocean " Celeste finally tore her gaze away from the book looking at the focused faces of the people sitting with her. "So, basically if we can't control Eloise and Indigo's powers they can cause destruction?" Zephyr asked "yes indeed we have to start working to get their full extent under control" Carter said the group sat their discussing the next steps of how to train the Originals, because originals are not just normal magic infused people they are the Originals..the gods of their element have chosen them to be their representative and them being connected to it can have different abilities hidden in them. "Okay we'll start from tomorrow you all will train together, now let's head back" the group stood up moving forward Roman was retreating back to keep the books on their places the one book still not opened. "Hey Roman, can I have that book?" Levi requested. "Sure, Augustus maybe it can keep you engaged for sometime" He nodded his head. And just like that the group made their journey back to the outskirts of the town some thinking about what could their full potential cause. Some thinking about the things nearing slowly.
