Two years of peace and quiet.

Two years of freedom.

Although the First Order continued to rule, casting a shadow over every planet in the galaxy, you and Kylo were free. Free from its deathly grasp.

You heard that another man stood up to take your place, who he was, you had no idea. And you didn't care, either.

All you cared about was your family.

Kylo brought you to his old family home. It was almost completely empty. Looters had taken advantage of it being unoccupied. At first, Kylo had to take a minute as he stepped inside. Memories from his childhood came flooding back as he walked through the relatively large house.

The house was single storey and consisted of three bedrooms, a large bathroom and living room as well as a spacious kitchen.

The house was isolated in a small grassy valley beside a lake. Large trees lined the lake and the property. It was so peaceful.

So private.

The two of you took the time to clean the place up a bit. New furniture was put in as well as a fresh coat of paint and flooring.

In a matter of six months or so, you, Kylo and Ben could finally call it a home.

Ben had only just begun going to school. You and Kylo worked tirelessly to help Ben with his powers. He was now able to control his emotions a bit better, therefore, violent outbursts with the Force were becoming less of a problem.

Lexa and Noah moved in together in a house a few miles away, and you and Kylo pardoned your Knights.

You didn't know where they went, or if they were still together, but they no longer served you.

They were also free.

Everything has worked out in the end.

"What are you thinking about, hm?"

A small smile touched your lips.

You were sat in between Kylo's legs on the small hill outside your home. Kylo sat against the largest tree on the property overlooking the lake, his chin resting on your shoulder.

"Just thinking about how lucky we are." You said, your eyes wandering down to your son levitating rocks and sticks a few metres in front of you. His little hands flexing as he manipulated the objects around him.

Kylo's lips pressed against your bare shoulder.

You wore one of your favourite dresses Kylo had made for you in town.

The dress was white. Pure white.

The skirt was long and flowy and the bodice consisted of fine lace detailing. It was off the shoulder and was flattering on your frame.

"That, we are." Kylo mumbled against your skin. You could feel the smile on his lips as he spoke. "He's getting stronger and stronger every day." He jutted his chin towards Ben.

"I know," you sighed.

Birds chirped above your head, the sun warmed your skin. A light breeze fluttered your skirt and hair.

So calm.

You rested the back of your head against Kylo's shoulder, closing your eyes. You were so happy. So content with your life now.

You and Kylo were going to live out the rest of your days in your secluded family home. You were going to watch your son grow into a man.

A soft sigh left your throat as your abdomen jolted.

Your hands rested against your abdomen and you opened your eyes again.

"She's kicking." You smiled, taking Kylo's hands to place them on top of your stomach. The two of you only waited a few seconds, and your unborn daughter kicked again.

A small chuckle left Kylo's throat. "She's busy today." His lips pressed against your temple. "Feisty, like her mom." He hummed. You couldn't help but giggle.

You're about seven months pregnant with your second child.

When you told Kylo it was a girl, you weren't sure if he was excited or terrified. Probably both. He had been so good with Ben, but the thought of having a daughter, another you, terrified him.

You didn't blame him. You were terrified too.

Kylo's hands held your abdomen, his breath warm against your ear.

"I love you."

You squeezed his hands, your fingers interlocking with his. You gazed a your ring glistening in the afternoon sun, a tear leaking from your eye.

You were just so happy.

Everything worked out for you and Kylo in the end.

The two of you were finally happy.

You turned your head to gaze up at Kylo. His golden eyes were warm with adoration. His pale skin shone underneath the sunlight. His lips were so full and pink.

Beautiful.

"I love you." You smiled up at him.

Kylo's eyes searched your own before he lowered his lips to yours in a gentle kiss. You savoured the sensation of his lips, warm and tender against your own. He sighed into the kiss before he pulled away, pressing his forehead against yours.

"Have you thought of a name for her?"

A smile touched your lips.

"Not really, no."

"I was thinking Kyla."

You couldn't help but laugh, despite how beautiful the name sounded.

"You want both your kids named after you? You must really love yourself." You scoffed.

"If you don't like it we can come up with something—"

"Kylo it's beautiful." You nodded.

Kyla.

Kyla and Ben.

You could live with that.

Ben plopped himself beside you, resting his head in your lap.

"You're getting better at it baby," you run your fingers through his mop of dark hair.

"I'm tired." He sighed.

"I bet," Kylo said, adjusting his grip on your abdomen.

Kyla kicked again.

"Ben, your sister is kicking." You smiled.

He bolted upright, his tiny hands moving to where Kylo had his hands placed.

You weren't sure how he would go once Kyla was brought into the world, but he was obsessed with her whilst she was inside you.

You felt her move again, and Ben couldn't help but giggle as his sister kicked at him.

It was so beautiful to watch.

So pure.

You have never felt so at peace, surrounded by your family...

So loved.
