Unexpected To Be One

Chapter 3

Hadeeth on patience:

Narrated Abu Said Al Khudri: Some Ansar persons asked for (something) from Allah's Apostle and he gave them. They again asked him for (something) and he again gave them. And then they asked him and he gave them again till all that was with him finished. And then he said "If I had anything, I would not keep it away from you. (Remember,) whoever abstains from asking others, Allah will make him contented, and whoever tries to make himself self-sufficient, Allah will make him self-sufficient. And whoever remains patient, Allah will make him patient. Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater than patience."

Sahih Al-Bukhari - Book 24 Hadith 548

Shifa's POV

I was really angry and pissed off on him.

He made my day really bad...

I reached home and said salaam to my mom and without talking with anyone I went to my room.

I was not in a mood to have conversation with anyone.....I just wanted PEACE!!!!

I changed into my comfortable dress, prayed Dhuhr and was about to sleep but mom interrupted and said, "Shifa, you are not eating lunch..."

"No mom. I am not hungry."

Then she started her usual lecture about eating food on time.

Oh, Allah !!!!

"Mom, I will eat....Please leave me alone...I am really tired....I want to rest." I told politely, trying not to be rude. Then she smiled and left the room.

Then I took a nap for about two hours and then prayed Asr and went down because I was damn hungry...

I went down and saw my mom very busy in preparing food...

Then I asked her, "Is anything special today...."

"Yes, guests are coming"

"Ahhh....who is coming???" I asked.

"It's a SURPRISE"

"Ugh! I hate surprises".

"Have patience, beta."

"Ok! Can I help you???"

DING DONG...........
DING DONG...........

" Shifa beta, go and open the door."

I went and opened the door to my surprise it was Amina Aunty.... MY FAVOURITE AUNTY!!!!

"Assalamualaikum Aunty" I screamed and hugged her with excitement.

I was so happy at first but when I saw HIS face, my all happiness vanished.

I frowned at HIM!!!

And hugged his sisters, Anaya and Alishba.

We all started talking about random stuff.

Anaya is one year older than me and Alishba is of my age.

I miss Zia di at this moment because she was the one who used to crack jokes and make us all laugh.

Then mom called all of us for eating food, which I was eagerly waiting for.

"Will you stay with us today," I asked Anaya.

The next words from Amina Aunty surprised me a lot because she said, "We all are going to stay here for one week"

I was so excited that I hugged Anaya and Alishba.

Everyone sat around the table for eating...I too sat down in between Anaya and Alishba.

I looked up and saw HIM, he was sitting beside my elder brother Asif....

And then it clicked me.....

Oh!! My Allah!!!!!

I have to tolerate and bear him for one week!!

ONE WEEK!!!!!
