I put the last glass into the cabinet, closing the dishwasher. I turn around, jumping ten feet into the air when I see that Hunter has snuck into the kitchen.
“Can I help you, sir?”
He looks sad but delighted at the same time. He smiles, walking towards me.
“Actually, you can.”
He’s right in front of me. He tilts my chin up towards his, bringing his lips down to brush against mine in a gentle kiss. Something isn’t right.
I put my hands onto his chest, pushing him away.
“What are you doing, sir? You’re engaged.”
“That didn’t stop me last time, did it?”
Oh shoot. He remembers all of that.
He kisses me again.
“I broke it off with Peni. I don’t love her. I love you, Skye.”
Is this really happening? It’s like every girl’s dream!
His lips are addicting, but it still doesn’t feel right.
“This isn’t right. Stop this now.”
He doesn’t. I shove him away, wiping my lips with the back of my hand. He glares at me, clearly angry.
“What’s wrong, Skye? Don’t you want me?”
“No. Not like this. Something isn’t right.”
He grabs my hand, pulling me towards him.
“Everything is fine, Skye. Nothing is wrong.”
“Let me go.”
He tries to kiss me again, but I attempt to squirm away.
“Stop fighting, Skye.”
“Let. Me. GO!”
I yank my arm away just as he lets me go. I can’t stop myself from falling. My head slams into the counter top.
My vision goes black as Hunter is screaming my name.

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been updating again. I'm ridiculously sick. Cough, sore throat, stomach ache, ear aches, the whole nine yards. I'm exhausted and updating as I write.
Anyway, thoughts on the story so far? What about Hunter here? What do you think is going to happen with Skye?
