I watch as Andy and Daniel load the car seat containing baby Brayden into the back of Daniel's car. Andy is overjoyed with the thought of being a mother. She's spent a lot of time at the hospital with him, changing him, feeding him, and cuddling him. He's got an amazing mother.
A taxi pulls up behind Daniel's car. I tap Andy's shoulder.
"My ride is here. I'll see you later?"
She throws her arms around me, hugging me tightly.
"Thank you so much, Skye!"
After I'm released from the hug, I climb into the taxi with my overnight bag over my shoulder. I give the driver my address and watch as we pull away from the hospital.
