You were currently in a small diner in downtown, Toronto with your husband and daughter. The restaurant was nearly empty except for you guys and an old couple that was sitting in the corner, enjoying their food. You ate your food as you watched Shawn holding your toddler's hands and trying to get her to walk.

"Come on, Sara, you can do it! Come to daddy," he said letting go her chubby hands so that she was standing on her own and took a couple of steps away from her, bending down and opening his arms for the little girl to walk in.

"Come on, princess!" He said clapping his hands together trying to encourage the little girl to take her first steps. The little girl was oblivious to her father talking as she just stared at the small teddy bear in her hands. She just giggled as she waved the teddy up and down showing it to her daddy as she just stood there not taking a single step.

"Yes honey, now why don't bring that teddy to daddy!" He said motioning for her to come towards him, but she just kept on smiling and calling out to him as she showed him the stuffed teddy bear. He let out a sigh, running his hand through his hair, making you chuckle. At the sound of you chuckle, he turned to look at you watching the both of them with an amused smile.

"You find this funny?" He said, raising an eyebrow.

"Just a little!" You said with a playful smile.

"Alright, well I would like to see you try," he said motioning towards Sara, who was now seated on the floor playing with her teddy.

"She isn't just going to magically walk because we asked her to Shawn. It will happen when it does," you said shrugging.

"You're only saying that because you know you can't do it." He said standing up and challenging you. He knew that you never turned down a challenge.

"Fine," you said giving him a smile as you got off from your seat to go stand where he was. He just smiled, watching you bend down and looking at your girl.

"Sara," you said in a sweet voice immediately capturing her attention.

"You wanna come to mama?" You asked her, smiling. At first, she seemed confused. But once you opened up your arms, signaling her to come to you. She got up, slowly.

"Momma!" She said as she took a small, wobbly step towards you. You smiled, brightly.

"There you go, sweetie, come just a little more." You said watching her carefully as Shawn watched the two of you with a surprised face. She took a couple of more steps and she finally came into your arms wrapping her short, chubby arms around your neck making you smile and hug her back. You stood up chuckling with her in your arms.

"Good job baby," you said kissing her on the cheek. You turned to see Shawn watching the two of you with a smile.

"I dont understand how you did it." He said shaking his head, smiling.

"What can I say? She loves her mama," you said, bouncing her on your hip.

"Hmmm, just like her daddy," Shawn said smiling and placing a brief but soft kiss on your lips making you smile and the old couple cooed at how cute you guys were, making you blush. You thanked them and walked out of the diner as Shawn wrapped an arm around you smiling, and thinking how lucky he was to have you both in his life.
