King peter stood gallantly by his throne as he gave out orders and spoke to the citizens of Narnia. His voice rang through the ballroom and rebounded into my ears, pulling me deeper into my infatuation with him. If the blue eyes weren't enough to completely drown you, the sweet song of his mighty and proud voice could surely pull you in like a siren.
I haven't just started to crush over him, oh no, I've liked him for a while now. Even though I'm still fairly new to Narnia, my feelings have had time to settle in and stay for the long haul. But I mean come on, he strong, loyal, adventurous... a king. I can't be the only one who's incredibly, hopelessly, totally, and completely infatuated with him, right?
Right?

The music danced in a way that tugged on the heartstrings of guests all around. They swayed and spun to the sounds of the room. Not only to the sound of the tunes from the orchestra, but from the laughter and joyous noises emitted from the people encompassing them.
Meanwhile I sat in the back in my solid black, laced back, floor length ballgown.
I catch the eyes of one of the queens, the high queen to be exact and she comes strolling over in a navy blue dress.
"Hello, I'm Susan. I don't particularly remember seeing you around here. Are you new?"
"Quite, actually. I arrived only a couple months ago. But none the less, I am astounded by your beautiful country."
"Well thank you very much. It wasn't always ours but we try our best to maintain the history."
"Well it couldn't have befallen any greater hands, my queen."
"Oh, you don't need to say stuff like that! I get way too much of it from everyone else!"
I couldn't help but steal tiny glances over the shoulder of the queen in order to feed my addiction to her brother.
"Is something the matter? You seem to be off in another world."
"Oh, I am so sorry. I guess I am off somewhere else, aren't I?"
"It's quite alright. It happens to the best of us." She smiled lightly.

Third POV
The queen started to take off but not before seeing what the newest citizen was so entranced by.
She turned to merely see the smiling face of her older brother talking to a trade partner.
It couldn't have possibly been the distraction that was holding up her guest, could it have?
Susan, none the less, shook off the idea and walked around to more guests but all throughout her greetings and small talk, she shouldn't imprison the thought to the back of her mind.
She decided once and for all to put her theory to rest. Susan lightly tapped her way in between the conversation of her brother and a friend to ask him to leave with her.
Peter said yes and followed his sister to the meek princess looking girl in the back, watching her toes dance in her shoes.
"Y/n, this is Peter, my brother, or the king as you know."

First POV
"Oh, High king Peter, what a pleasure."
"The pleasure is all mine. Now what did you need Susan?"
"I just wanted you to meet y/n. I hear she's new to narnia."
"Are you now? Well in that case, it's complimentary to receive a tour from any one of our esteemed palace workers or a royal themselves. Would you care if I gave you a tour or Cair Paravel?" Peter responded.
"I would be honored."

Third POV
Y/n and Peter soon made their way to the gardens surrounding Cair Paravel which over looked the ocean.
"This place gets more beautiful every time I blink." The quiet girl stated with a huge smile.
Without another moment of the girls attention peter whispered to himself "so do you."
The girl had not heard the compliment and it had not disturbed her daydreaming.
"Yes well we try to maintain a certain balance."
"That's almost like what Susan said. And like I said to her, it could not have befallen better hands."
"You are incredibly sweet." Peter complimented, this time for the girl to hear.
"Well thank you. It means a lot coming from you." She blushed.
Neither of them noticed, but Peter was blushing too.
"May I ask you something?" Peter finally spoke up after a minute of star lit silence.
"Of course."
"Are you a princess per chance?"
"A princess? Me? No way." She smiled and slightly giggled at the thought of her being royalty.
"What are you then?" He questioned more.
"Just... human."
Peters eyes widened.
"Human? Like... from outside of magic's walls?"
"Y-yeah. How do you know that?"
"Well... the kings and queens are just like you. We are from Finchley, England."
"You're kidding."
"No, not at all where are you from?"
"I'm from h/a."
"Wow, this is weird. How did you get here?"
"A garden door. How about you?"
"A wardrobe."
Peter and y/n laughed along with each other.

"Goodnight Peter. Thank you so much for the tour. It was great to get to know you." The girl smiled as she parted ways with the king.
The Pevensies waved to the new friend as she walked off into the woods.
Peter couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness after she left his sight.
Maybe he was supposed to mean something to him. He definitely wanted to find out.
As for Susan, she never was going to doubt her hunches again as she saw the smile the two separately shared for the other as the night grew dim and they grew apart.
Susan would never forget this moment.
