Being in a relationship with Justin had been the best thing to ever happen to me, but it was also a curse. Seeing as Justin was one of the biggest pop stars known to live, it was hard for us to find time to just be ourselves and enjoy some nice and quiet. I had been used to my nice and quiet before Justin came into my life, and honestly, I loved the nice and quiet, and I was kinda longing for it again after years of being in the spotlight with Justin. Lately, Justin and I had used most of our time fighting over the littlest things you could possibly imagine, and maybe it was just my temper that had caught up with me, but I almost couldn't take it anymore. Each day that passed by was worse than the previous, and every day I was exhausted and ready to go to bed by nine pm.

Being in a relationship with Justin also meant that you had to make compromises to your own dreams to follow him around the world on his tours. The first few tours I went with him on were amazing, and I got to see the most fantastic places all around the world. Traveling the world had always been a dream of mine, but after two world tours, I was ready to settle down back in Canada and maybe even start a family. Unfortunately, Justin was in a completely different place than I was, so once again my dreams were postponed. I might have only been 23 years old at that time, but two years later my dreams are still postponed. A year ago, I had made it very clear to Justin that I wanted to start living my own dreams, which was why I went back to school again to finish my degree in communication. Justin and I spent a few months apart due to his tour for 'Changes', and those few months were the best months I'd had for years and I hated to admit that. I love Justin with everything I have, but I sometimes felt crushed. Of course, I was flown out to see some of his amazing performances, and I appreciated the attention and affection he showered me with every time we'd been apart for some time.

I was currently on my way to Washington DC to see Justin because it had almost been a month since we'd last seen each other. I had just finished my last exam for my degree, and I was officially a grad student with a master's in communication. I had celebrated my graduation with my family and closest friends and now I was looking forward to celebrating with Justin. He couldn't make it to my actual graduation because of the tour, and I completely understood it. This was his job, and I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to make it either if I'd had a job like his. Though he was busy on tour he had still made time to FaceTime me right after the graduation, and he had also sent me flowers to congratulate me. These small gestures were everything to me and Justin knew it. Justin had almost made it his duty to come pick me up from the airport every time I came to see him. Yet, when I arrived at the airport in Washington DC he was nowhere in sight, only Scooter.

Scooter noticed the disappointed look on my face and nodded his head, he knew exactly why I was disappointed. "Hey, you, it's been a while," he told me as he embraced me. I smiled lightly and returned the hug. When I pulled away, I couldn't help but look around in hope that Justin was just pranking me and stood by the exit to surprise me, but he wasn't. Scooter grabbed my luggage, and we made small talk on the way out to the car. Scooter congratulated me on my diploma and told me that he and Yael had a little something for me back at the hotel. "You shouldn't have gotten me anything!" I told him as we got into the car, Scooter laughed, then he bumped my shoulder and put the car in Drive. "Of course, we should, you're family, and you're officially not going back to school ever again," he told me. I smiled in content and leaned back into the seat to enjoy the rest of the ride to the hotel. There were people everywhere when we arrived at the hotel, and I immediately frowned. I had not missed the attention. "I'm gonna come get your door, you shouldn't go out there alone," Scooter said to which I nodded. A few moments later Scooter was at my door and he helped me out of the car. Justin's security came to our rescue and helped us inside the hotel. Once we were inside, I was finally able to breathe again.
