Chapter 7:Proposal

Me and Andrew have just finished reading and are packing up, getting ready to leave the library. I pick up the Mathematics textbook stuffing it into my bag when Andrew speaks.

"Okay so we are officially done for the day" He says

"Thank the heavens" I sigh

"So you didn't enjoy it??" He asks looking a little sad

"No just that reading has never been my thing" I say

"Why??" He asks

"Cause its boring" I say in a duh tone

"Hmmm, I have an idea" He says

"What??" I ask

"Let's be reading this way everyday" He says

"What? I don't think I can't do that" I say

"Just think about it and I can make reading fun" He says

"Ok i will think about it" I reply

I leave the library and go to my hostel, still thinking about Andrew's offer. Maybe he can make studying more fun like today was actually not that bad. He explained everything and I can do that math assignment myself. Maybe.

"Girl where have you been??" Ella asks

"In the library" I say

"What??" Vera says shocked, ok she over did it.

"Well that's new" Ella says

"Yeah I know" I say

"Anyways the vice principal came and was looking for you" Vera says

'Yeah we think its pretty important you should go" Ella adds

"Ok bye guys" I say

With the news I forgot to tell my friends about my day, and immediately hop to Miss. Claudia's office. I ask for some directions and I stand in front of the door.

Knock! Knock!! Knock!!!

"Come in" I hear her say

"Good morning ma" I greet

"Ooo good morning, it's good you are here Bella" She says

"Why??" I ask

"Your father called the school and wanted to know how you are doing" She says smiling at me

Damn. Can Dad just be low key for once , I mean this is a new school. Ooo brother I wonder what's coming next. Maybe he will arrive with a private jet on my school roof.

"Well ma am fine with this school" I say

"Okay but are you sure??" She asks

"Yes ma" I say

"Okay if you say so but know I have an eye on you" She says

Wow!! I just came and the vice principal is having her eyes on me. How wonderful!!!

I enter the room and Ella drags me to her bed. She starts interrogating me about what happened while Vera just stares and chuckles.

"So how was it??" Ella asks

"Awful" I say

"Did you do something bad??" Vera asks

"No actually" I say

"Then what happened??" Ella asks

"The vice principal has eyes on me now and it's because of my dad" I say

"Seriously??" Vera asks

"Yep" I say popping the p

"Parents can really be poke nosers" Ella says

"Right!! I know they are caring for us and stuff but just give us some space sometimes" Vera says

"Anyways now I have to be careful and its so annoying" I say

"Just be yourself" Ella says

"Being myself might get me into bigger problems" I say

"Why would you say so??" Ella asks

"Because today I almost fought someone" I say

"For reals" Ella says

"Let me guess after you left my class" Vera says

"Yep" I say

"So how did it start and end" Ella says

"I hope you kicked the person's ass" Vera says excitedly

"Don't forget there's an almost there" I say

I narrate the whole story to them and instead of thinking of how I didn't fight. They teased me about Andrew and how we read together in the library and his proposal.

"So are you gonna say yes??" Ella asks

"I haven't decided" I say

"I think you should, if I had someone willing to clear up some stuff for me in accounting I will accept" Vera says

"Yeah me too, I really need help in acting" Ella adds

"And maybe you can get a boyfriend" Vera says wiggling her eyebrows

"Hey we are just friends" I say

"That's what they always say" Ella adds

I pick up a pillow and hit Ella, soon we are running round the room with pillows hitting each other, while Vera just watches laughing at us. We are just friends for Christ's sake.

Have your parents ever gotten involved in something and you were really upset about it??
