Me and the girls practice more after classes, the lyrics and beat of the song becoming very familiar. I shake my head as I hum the tune but obviously I am worried about tomorrow. I love my dad but I wonder how he will act tomorrow. Will he be disappointed or happy??.
"Bella where is your mind??" Ella asks
"Yeah you have been staring at your lyrics for a long time" Vera says
"Ooo am just trying to memorise my part" I say
"Ok" Vera says still looking at me suspiciously
"So tomorrow's visiting day" Ella says peeking at me from the corner of her eyes
"Yeah I know" I say
"So how do you feel??" Ella asks
"Like am being pushed into my grave" I say sighing and landing on my bed
"Your dad right" Vera says knowingly
"Yep" I say
"Hey it might not be so bad" Ella says nudging me
"Don't try to make me feel better Ella. But am gonna try and be at my best" I say
"Are you sure?" Vera asks
"Yep am fine" I say
"Okay" Ella says
"Let's get back to rehearsing" Vera says
We continue rehearsing and soon I am in dreamland. It's the next day and I am sitting down waiting for my dad (orders from Miss. Claudia). While am waiting, my mind is racing waiting for my dad. Unfortunately, the last person I needed right now sits beside me.
"Hey Bella" Charlotte says
"Hey Charlotte" I say rolling my eyes
"So what are you doing here??" She asks feigning concern
"Charlotte I thought you said after Andrew you are gonna leave me alone" I say getting stressed from her constant bugging
"But I just wanna talk to my friend" She says in a voice that sounds nice to others but very very very evil to me. Note the emphasis on very.
"Charlotte please leave" I say
"Awwn are you pushing me away" she says with an evil smile
I knew this girl wasn't here for anything good. She sits besides me and I glare at her, she tried to push me off but I stay still. I glare at her but she doesn't budge, instead she keeps smiling at me. Suddenly, I hear a deep voice.
"Good morning sweetie" My dad says
"Dad!!!!!! I missed you" I say running towards him
"I missed you too" He says pulling me into a hug
My dad looked different, he had grown more muscular. He had a sharp jaw, chocolate eyes with black hair. He was tall and fair, my dad is indeed handsome. I wonder why he didn't remarry but honestly if he had I don't think I would have minded. My mom was never there for me in the first place.
"So who's your friend?? I could see you playing with her from afar" My dad askd
Before I can even say a word, Charlotte interrupts "Good morning sir, my name is Charlotte, Bella's Bestie."
"My baby already has a best friend, is that true Bella???" My dad asks excitedly
I bite my lips not knowing what to say. My dad seemed happy that I had a Bestie already, actually I do but it definitely isn't Charlotte. I didn't want to burst his bubble and I didn't want to stress him.
"Yes" I guess I had to play along with Charlotte.
"So how has the school been??" My dad asks
"Amazing" I say
"Your vice principal said you liked it" He says
"Yes I do" I say smiling
"So is she your only friend??" He asks nodding towards Charlotte
"No I have others but they are in class right now" I say
"Their parents didn't come?" He asks
"No they haven't but maybe they will come later" I say
"So won't you take me around your school" He says
"Of course" I say smiling
I began by taking him to our library, lunch lounge and places far away from classes. I tried to make sure we didn't meet any teacher on the way. I wasn't really a fan of teachers and their big mouths. Charlotte was there and of course wasn't making things easy.
"Sir don't you want to see other places in the school?" She asks
"Of course and enough of the sir my name is Mr. George" My dad says smiling
"Wow Bella you never told me George was your surname" Charlotte says smiling at me
"Cause I didn't need to" I mutter under my breath
"So let's go to the teacher's offices" Charlotte says
"Charlotte I think you have helped us alot, you can leave now" I say
"But I don't want to" She says snuggling beside me to look like we are best of friends.
Annoying brat my besties are in their classes, get off me.
I wish I could say that out loud. I ignore Charlotte and continue walking very fast,while my dad ask questions. I answer smartly so he won't think I haven't been attending classes or something.
Soon our tour is over because my dad had to go to a meeting. I sigh in disappointment as we walk towards the exit.
"Sweetie it's time to go" My dad says
"Bye dad" I say
"Hope you will enjoy this school" He asks hopefully
"I already am, its gonna be fine" I say smiling
"Look at my baby already talking like an adult" He says laughing and smiling "Maybe next time I can see your other friends"
"Yes next time" I say
My real and actual friends
"Bye I miss you" He says
"I miss you everyday too" I say
"It's so hard to say goodbye" He says hugging me
"Dad get in the car" I say
I shove him a little in the car and give him a hug, before we finally say good bye.
I guess i really did miss him
No matter how our parents can be, they love us and we should love them too. Cause if they weren't there, you won't love it.
