I and Andrew continue our reading plans for a long time. And soon a lot of people know about it. But I never really cared about it or thought about it, but my friends teased me non stop. They really thought we were a couple or at least we will soon be one. I roll my eyes as Ella and Vera continue ranting about how cute we will be together.
"Girl are you trying to say the boy who you are with for most of the day has nothing for you??" Ella asks
"Yes, for the millionth time Ella yes" I say frustratingly
"Yeah right!!! I see how you guys look at each other" Vera says
"Love is always in the air" Ella adds
"Stop talking" I say while covering my face
"You guys are turning into a hot topic at school" Vera says
"Well if no one gossips about you then you don't exist" I say
"Let's go to class" Ella says still wiggling her eyebrows
"Am free for the day" I say rolling my eyes at Ella
"Is your teacher sick again??" Vera asks
"Nope" I say
"Then what?" Vera asks
"Laziness" I simply say
"Wow some teachers are lazy" Vera says
"But she's giving me a break" I say smiling
"Okay" Vera says
"Bye" I wave as they walk out
I lay on the bed and stare at the design, trailing the patterns but soon I get bored. I decide to go meet Andrew, so we can go to the library together. And read or maybe just talk, I actually enjoy his presence. He always makes things fun.
Girl you are gonna make them feel like they were right
But I shove the thought, there is really nothing going on. I walk out of my room and mentally hope I see him in a class, or maybe meet him on the way. Unfortunately, I bump into someone again.
"Hey big mouthed girl" The annoying brat says
"For starters, that's not my name so stop calling me that" I say angrily at the stupid name
"Awwwn she's angry. So what's your name?? She asks
"Bella" I say rolling my eyes at her
"Mine is Charlotte" She says
"What a cute name for a bully" I say fake smiling
"Now Bella let me warn you, I do not want to see you with Andrew ever again" Charlotte says
"Why??" I ask
"You just can't and if I ever see you, you will regret it" She says
"What if I don't?" I ask
"Try me and see brat" She says
"What if i tell you I was on my way to see him" I say looking her straight in the eye
"Don't say I didn't warn you" She says
She walks away and I look confused. I am just his reading partner, it's not like we do much. Being Andrew's partner is really bringing a lot of unwanted attention. I change my mind and decide to go to the library alone. And when I get there, Andrew is sitting there alone.
"Hey thank God you came I was planning to come and find you" He says
"Ooo yeah" I say feeling guilty for planning to ditch him
"So let's start" He says
After we read for some time, I decide to ask him about what's been happening. I mean we couldn't act like we didn't know about everything going on around us. Honestly, I didn't really care cause I knew there was nothing. Right??
"Andrew have you heard the rumours" I say
"Of what??" He asks
"Us" I say
He drops his head and he looks nervous, fidgeting his fingers.
"Yeah my girlfriend hasn't been too happy about it" He says
"You have a girlfriend" I say stunned
"Yeah is it impossible?" He asks
"No, no way" I say
Andrew was a really handsome guy, studious and popular. But not serious popularity, he was one of the cool, cute and funny guys in West High School. He was good at subjects but didn't look like a dweeb, you can picture him as your bad boy - good boy
"I hope its not causing too much damage between you two" I say
"I told her to trust me and she did" He says
"What's her name??" I ask
"Julia" He saya
"Ooo okay let's get back to reading" I say
I don't know why but I felt a sinking sensation when I knew Andrew had a girlfriend. Or could I have possibly grown feelings for him?? I didn't want to accept it, but there was a glint of disappointment buried deep inside my heart. I go to my safe house (my room) as usual.
"Hey how was your day??" Ella asks
"Fine" I say
"So you and Andrew do any stuff today" Vera asks
"Yeah we just read" I say dryly
"Seriously again??" Ella asks
"When are you gonna accept that there's something??" Vera asks teasingly
"There's nothing" I say
"Mmmhmmm" Ella drags
"There's nothing and there will never be anything" I shout
My friends are surprised at my sudden outburst and scooch over to my bed, concern written all over their faces. I shouldn't have acted that way if I didn't want to raise their suspicions. Way to go Bella.
"Hey girl what happened??" Ella asks worriedly
"Yeah you know you can tell us anything" Vera says looking concerned
"He has a girlfriend" I mutter
"What??" Ella asks
"Yeah I know very surprising" I say dryly
"Girl don't think about it" Vera says
"I knew there was something" Ella says
"Ella not the time" Vera shouts
"Sorry. But Bella you deserve someone way better" Ella says
"Someone who loves you" Vera says
"Thanks guys" I say
"Group hug" They shout
I feel so heartbroken right now Andrew has a girlfriend. Have you ever gotten disappointed cause your crush has a girlfriend???. I know I might have rushed this one, it's now I am thinking of it. I just showed how close they were getting and all of a sudden they are having heartbreaks. Sorry guys
