The New Girl

Chapter 35: Asking

I am removing some books when someone closes my eyes from behind and tells me to guess who it is. Immediately, I hear the voice I know who it is.

"Jackson" I squeak in excitement and give him a bear hug.

"Not a hugger!! Not a hugger"

"Yeah right, how was it"

"It was nice seeing everybody again" We begin walking towards our class

"I know how that feels in a way" It reminded me of my dad and everyone at home.

"Yeah so did you miss me"

"Nah!! I didn't"

"Liar, I am sure you missed me so much"

"Don't flatter yourself Jackson I didn't"

"Is that so??" He tackles me and starts tickling me till I beg for mercy

"Fine I missed you, just stop"

"That's a good girl"

"So have you heard we are having prom"

"Yeah"

"Sooooo aren't you gonna ask Lily out?"

"Bella I don't know, what if she says no"

"Hey I kept her dateless all this time so you could ask her, man up"

"I don't know"

I knew Lily liked Jackson but I didn't want to tell him. I wanted him to work hard to win her heart.

"I know how you feel but you have to"

"Do you think she will say yes"

"You never know until you try"

"Fine I will"

"That's the spirit"

"Thanks Bella"

"Welcome"

We enter class and soon the bell rings, Jackson leaves and looks for Lily to ask THE QUESTION. I head to the Library and I see Andrew at a corner.

"Reading all by yourself, that's not nice"

"Well then Miss. Bella accompany me"

"Of course shall we??"

"We shall"

Laughter is heard before we begin reading, and reading with Andrew isn't bad at all even if sometimes I get lost just looking at his face. But there was a question I was itching to ask

"Emmm Andrew"

"Yeah"

"You know prom is around the corner"

"Yeah I saw"

"Soo who are you asking"

"Well obviously I should take Julia but I don't want to"

"Why??"

"It's not just the same, it's like she isn't the same person I fell in love with. Do you get me??"

"Yeah I am listening"

"I think I love someone else but I dont want to break Julia's heart, we have been together for a while. And then we just end things like that, she will be really pissed" He runs his hand through his hair in frustration

"I understand but you have to tell her, you can't keep toying with her emotions"

"True, I plan to tell her after prom"

"Good!!! So this other person you like who is it"

"I am not sure myself but anytime I see her it's like i have jumped a million clouds,  she is smart, funny and cute. I love everything about her but I wonder if she feels the same way"

"I am sure she does, if she doesn't she must be crazy"

"Thanks Bella"

"So do I know her??"

"No!!! She isn't here"

"Ooo okay"

My heart crashed into a million pieces, she wasn't even here. So it couldn't be me and with the way he sounds, he really loves her. What was I thinking that I was in some book where I will end up with the boy of my dreams. I should have known better.

I ended our reading earlier and as soon as I came out Jackson bounced happily and told me she said yes. I was happy for him but I was too sad about Andrew to be happy, I just said a dry congratulations and left.

Hey guys, Bella is heartbroken. Any doctor to fix her heart?? The next chapter is prom, we are getting close.
