*ALI'S POV*

Colby looked....just....wow. Wow was the only word that came to my mind when I saw him. Well other than hot, amazing, and Greek god, but that's besides the point.

He wore grey swimshorts that had red and black horizontal stripes across them. And not to mention, he was shirtless. Even more of a wow. It took me all my might to keep my mouth closed, or else I would be drooling everywhere. What? He's got a nice ass body, I have to say so myself.

"Hey there good lookin," Colby flashed that charming smile of his at me as I approached the boys. I twirled around, my hair blowing in the cool sea breeze.

"Why thank you." I laughed, skipping over to the beach towels we had laid out on the sand.

I placed down my purse on the sand next to my towel and I sat on the warm blanket.

"Oh come on Ali, come in the water." Sam nagged me. I shook my head, resisting his offer.

"Listen, I need to get a tan. I'm like the odd one out because I'm so pale. Everyone else here is extremely tan." I laughed, putting on my sunglasses.

"Don't be a party pooper Al! You have the rest of your life to tan!" Colby whined. He stomped his foot on the ground and crossed his arms in front of his chest, acting like a child who didn't get their way.

"Let me just tan for a little bit, and then I'll come into the water with you." I said, laying down on the towel and closing my eyes. I am definitely gonna enjoy and soak up this sun. In Delft, we never had hot weather like this, or in Connecticut. So this is a whole new experience for me.

"Okay, enoughs enough." Colby exhaled. I furrowed my brows, confused with what he was talking about. That was, until I felt myself being picked up and thrown over someones shoulder.

"What the hell Col!" I screamed, my eyes shooting open. I heard him chuckle before feeling a stinging coldness surround me. I held my breath, being engulfed in the salty ocean water.

"Duuuude!" I yelled, lightly smacking his arm as I came up from the water. Thank god I wore water proof mascara, or else I would look like some sort of hideous sea monster right now.

"I had to get you in the water somehow." He laughed, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to him.

I felt his body heat radiate towards me, even in the chilly water. I can't say that I don't like being in his arms because I do.

I really do. A lot.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, feeling him pull me even closer, if it was even possible at this point. I looked to the beach, not being able to find Sam.

"Where'd Sam go?" I asked, worried as to where he disappeared to.

"Kat's coming to hang out with us, I'm guessing he went to go get her." He whispered. I noticed exactly how close we were. Sure, it felt a little awkward because well, we're both in our swim suits. Our faces were only a couple inches apart, the distance slowly growing smaller.

But I didn't mind it. I don't mind being with him. I don't mind being in his arms. I don't mind this. I stared into his eyes. Those crystal blue eyes that I fell in love with the day I met him. He stared back into mine, a smile growing on his face.

Before I knew it, the distance between us began to close faster; inch by inch.

"Hey Ali, can I ask you something?" He asked me, his voice becoming a whisper. Almost like he was afraid to ask what he's about to. His deep voice sent chills down my spine. Butterflies erupted in my stomach, nervous about what he wants to ask.

"Yea, anything Col." I smiled back up at him. I was a good four to five inches shorter than him, so I'm always looking up to him.

I saw his adams apple bob up and down as he swallowed and let out a big breath. He closed his eyes and asked the question I've been waiting for for so long.

"Will you please be my girlfriend already?" A smile instantly grew from ear to ear.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for you to ask that." I giggled.

"So is that a yes?" He asked.

I nodded quickly. "Yes Cole Robert Brock, I will be your girlfriend."

I saw a look of relief wave across his face as a smile grew. The distance that was left between us began to close until our foreheads were touching. This is it, the moment I've been waiting for since the night I met him.

The magical moment I had been dreaming of for weeks was ruined when we heard people yelling our names. The two of us pushed each other away quickly, not wanting to get caught by the happy Sam and Kat running towards us. Not a ridiculous amount of space, just enough so that they won't get too suspicious.

What they didn't know though, was that under the water, out of sight from everyone, Colby was gently holding my hand. Sparks flew up my arms and to my chest, making my heart beat faster and my smile grow bigger.

"Hey guys!" Kat yelled as she ran to the edge of the water. We began to walk towards the couple on the sand, our hands unlatching once we got out of the water.

"Hey Kat!" I went up and hugged her. Since I started living in California, Kat, Devyn, and Amanda are like my girl best friends.

Kat and I decided that we would go and get some drinks from a nearby stand, since it had been getting really hot. I dried off, slipped on my clothes, and walked off to the bar with her.

*COLBY'S POV*

"I saw you and Ali getting all touchy touchy in the water." Sam nudged me.

I exhaled, smiling off in the distance.

"What's up dude?" Sam noticed I was kinda out of it. I'm just the happiest I could ever be right now. The girl of my dreams is now my girl.

"I did it, I actually did it." I said, staring off blankly, a faint smile on my face as I watched Ali and Kat laugh.

I heard a gasp. "No way, what'd she say!" Sam yelled.

"She said yes, Sam she actually said yes!" I smiled, looking at him.

"I'm happy for you man," he patted me on the back, giving me a smile.

"I'm just happy that she's finally mine." I murmured.

All mine.

*ALI'S POV*

I grabbed my sweet frozen goodness from the counter and thanked the barista.

"So," Kat began saying, stopping to take a sip of her strawberry daiquiri, "are you and Colby like a thing yet or what?"

"About that, he kinda asked me out while Sam went to get you," I began to feel my cheeks heat up, a blush rising to my face.

"No way! Oh my god congrats girl!" She jumped up and down, making sure not to spill her pretty expensive drink.

"Thanks, I mean it was about time he ask me out," I laughed, "the first time I saw him I knew I liked him."

"Aww! Love at first sight does exist!" She wooed.

Things are about to change. And hell, I can't wait for it.
