"What"I say in a higher tone than intended
"Do you think that Laura is safe here? I mean you don't go to her school and ally does. Don't you think that she should go home?"I can't believe what river is saying
"No, I'm sorry but Laura is a part of the family whether you like it or not and I'm not going to let her go home to a dad who would lock her in the house her whole life instead of see me"just then Laura comes back fully dressed
"Riker, did you talk to Ness at the mall?"she weakly asks him
"Hey we talked and I think she still likes me. Hopefully she will take me back"he was about to leave when Laura stopped him
"Wait, you didn't ask her out again? But she told me you kissed"we all went wide eyed
"Ok yeah we did kiss and no I didn't ask her out"he then leaves frustrated and we all follow him to the car. My mom drives us home
"yes were finally home"laura stumbles in the house clinging to my arm
"bye mom"rocky yells then ryland, ratliff, riker, and rocky run away to the game room
"ross why dont you help laura upstairs and get her settled in"my mom asks while tying an apron around her waist. I nod then help laura to her room
"so now what"i ask as laura grabs her blanket and pulls it over her
"i really dont know but hey its saturday"she says which makes me laugh
"how about we-"then my mom yells from downstairs just as i was about to answer my own question
"ross the phone is for you!"i groan before dragging myself downstairs and answering the phone

Hello ross its damino. I understand that laura is staying with you. Well i have some bad news. She is still a minor which means we are in charge of her so she needs to come home
what why? So you can force her to never see me again?
Maybe but if you dont tell her to come home, i will have the police come and your mom will be arrested for kidnapping
the line goes dead and i give my mom her phone back
"who was it?"my mom asks as she is stiring
"it was lauras dad. Shes still a minor so she has to go home and he is going to force her to never see me again"i sigh and run my hands through my hair
"honey, you need to tell her and just hope that you two will work it out"she gives me a weak smile and i go upstairs
"Hey large"I softly say and she smiles
"Hey what's up?"she asks and I sigh. I take a seat at the edge of her bed and look at me hands
"So your dad called"I look up and her smile went away
"He said that you are still a minor so you have to go home and when you do we can't see each other anymore. If you don't go then my mom could be put in jail for kidnapping"I finish. I look at her again and she is wiping tears
"No don't cry"I try comforting her
"How can I not? I mean I have to go back to being the perfect child but I can't because meeting you was the best thing that has ever happened to me and now I have to just let it go"she is crying now and I scoot closer to her and give her a hug
"I'm sorry Laura but you have till monday to move back in with your family"I rub her back
"So I only have 3 days to be with you?"she asks weakly and all I can do is nod
"But hey look on the bright side, you will be 17 on saturday so just one more year. I'll be here counting the days"she nods then falls asleep. I fall asleep holding her
I wake up the next day by Laura hitting me
"What"I groan half asleep
"Good morning"she says then gets up
"What are you doing?"I ask still laying on her bed
"I'm going to shower" she smirks then goes in the bathroom leaving me to wait for her. I lay back down and play on my phone but then I hear the water turn off. I listen and I could tell that Laura is still in pain but not a lot. She comes out looking fabulous as always
"Looking good lar"she bites her lip then gestures for me to grab her hand and we go downstairs
"Hey mom"I say and she waves
"Hey did you tell Laura?"she shyly asks
"Yeah he did and I understand it's just I'm going to be 17 tomorrow and I'm leaving in two days"she lets out a big sigh
"Its ok sweetheart we can still see each other"my mom says and Lara rolls her eyes
"I can't, my dad will probably have me on lock down and Ness would catch me because of what riker did"she takes a seat on the island
"What do you mean riker is over at your place right now"Laura turns to face my mom then all she does is nod
RIKER POV
Ok here we go. I sigh before knocking on Ness door. A few second, her Mom opens the door
"Oh hello riker"she politely lets me in
"Thanks, I'm where is Vanessa I need to talk to her"she gives me a small smile
"Shes upstairs but don't let her father see you"she winks and I go upstairs. I knock on the door
"Who is it"she asks through the door
"Uh it's me we need to talk"she opens the door and I walk in. She closes the door and sits on her desk chair
"Ness I want to take you out"I confess
"You already did remember?"I nod
"But that was before we kissed"she shakes her head
"Riker nothing happened that I want to remember"she stands up
"Wait why?"she sighs
"You kissed me then just left. I don't want to be a city girl I just want to be your girl"she looks in my eyes
"Will you go out with me?"I ask and she nods and smiles. I smile to and we lean in. The gap closes and we kiss.I swear fireworks everywhere
