Embracing Your Poison

I'm on my way to meet the Engineer and he said na may urgent meeting siya at kung pwede daw ba na lunch na lang daw and I said yes dahil after lunch ko pa naman kailangan magpunta ng airport. I just decided to go to Diamonds and I also texted Kalen and he's also on his way. 

But the scene with Amstel at the elevator won't leave my mind kahit anong gawin ko. Why did I do that? I also don't know. Bigla ko na lang nagawa yun. But there is also a part of me that didn't regret what I did. 

Because I truly want to help him. Not to make him fall in love with me just like in the book or drama but to help him forget the pain of one sided love. I will not replace Saffira in his heart I just want him to truly accept it without pain in his heart. 

I want him to be truly happy. Because he also deserve it. I receive help before to the times that I don't know what to do anymore and I will give it back not to the person who help me but to the person who badly need my help. 

And it's him. 

"You're here!" Saffira said when I enter Diamonds. I just smile at her and she told me na papunta na daw si Kalen. 

"Why are you smiling so widely? Did something happen?" I ask. 

"Sasagutin ko na si Kalen. Hindi ko pa alam kung kailan. Siguro kung perfect na yung timing." Bigla naman akong kinilig doon kaya nahampas ko siya but the joy I was feeling because one of my favorite couple will be finally be real couple faded when I remember Amstel. 

"Wag na kaya muna, pahirapan mo pa." I said at natawa naman siya doon at natigil lang kami when Kalen arrive. 

"Wow, Avilla. I thought you will not see me." I said and he roll his eyes before answering me. 

"Why are you suddenly calling me Avilla? If I'm not mistaken only one person are calling me that." he said and smirk at me like he was mocking me. He knew that I want to help Amstel that is why he is using that reason to piss me off. 

"Oh, my bad." I said. 

We just talk and they tell me na gusto din daw pumunta ng iba dito pero ang dami pa daw nilang gagawin because of Shekainah's wedding the next day. 

"Sino yung Engineer na nakuha ng Mom mo?" Saffira ask and muntik na akong masamid sa iniinom ko dahil dun. Kalen laugh because of that pero hindi ko na siya pinansin. 

"Oh, Engineer Bandiala." I said. 

"Right! Dahil kung si Nigel yung architect mo paniguradong si Tito Axel ang Engineer niyan. He likes Nigel's works." 

"Yeah, he told me." I said out of a blue that is why Saffira look confused. 

"Sinong he?" 

"I mean Kalen told me." I said and look at Kalen kaya tumingin din sa kanya si Saffira pinanlakihan ko naman siya ng mata kaya tumango na lang siya doon and look at me also confused dahil wala naman siyang sinasabi. 

I don't want Saffira to get the wrong idea pag sinabi kong si Amstel and nagsabi. 

Hindi na ako makakasabay kanila Saffira ng lunch dahil kailangan ko ng imeet yung Engineer and also Nigel. 

"Just call me when you're back." Kalen said at tumango na lang ako doon at nagpaalam na kay Saffira. She is still sad dahil wala daw ako bukas. 

Nakarating ako ng restaurant na naging usapan namin dahil mas malapit daw yun sa building nila. I'm already looking at them when Nigel wave his hand to me kaya ngumiti ako sa kanya at lumapit na sa table nila.
