OUR STORY

5 2 1

The day you looked my way
I was hypnotised.
The day you spoke to me
Got me mesmerised.
The day you confessed,
I reached 7th heaven.

That day in the small corridor
Of our high school stairs
I knew you were mine and i was yours.

The day when we separated
To go to different college,
I cried and ached inside.
Staying up late night,
To skype our day to each other miles away.
Saving every bit of penny,
To visit you on weekends.

That day till now & counting every second
For us to be together again.
I knew you were mine and i was yours.

drifting away, having fights
Somedays you cry and I regret
To find the our way back
To resolve ourselves
Why we hurt when We love the most.
You were mine and i was yours

Like the summer rain
And winter snow.
I found you, never letting go.
Tying myself to you, with this ring i hold.
It was beautiful sunset, on the beach
More beautiful the white dress you wore.
As we exchanged our vows
Move in to our new home
Life rushed in fast,
as our kids feel asleep next door.
I knew you were mine and i was yours.

I held you hand, proud
As our daughter and sons graduate
& Start their own chapter,
To a new life.

70 years old,
Still your eyes twinkle
Like the first day i met you
In the high school staircase.
Where i knew, i was yours and you were mine.

Now i sit in this old chair
Looking at the photographs of our memories
And missing your laugh.
The house feels empty
As now you are gone.

Still feel your here, as i walk my last walk
To our grandchildren wedding day
Lying in the empty bed
Waiting to meet you again
In another realm
Or another day.
As i am yours and your mine
Forever and ever again.
