8. Girlfriend

"What takes you so long?! Come here quickly!" Niki yelling at me on the phone

"But I'm not done yet"

"Hurry!!" He hangs up the phone

ish why does he always yell at me?

When I arrived, I saw Niki's father's car.

"Why is Mr. Nishimura here?" I mumbled

I walk in and saw Niki sitting opposite her father and mother, awkward atmosphere

"Hello my dear, we have been waiting for you," said Mrs.Nishimura, she held my wrist and pulled me to sit next to Niki. I saw Niki just fall silent looking down straight to the floor.

" Veerle how's everything? " Mr.Nishimura ask me

" Everything's perfect Mr.Nishimura" I answered with a smile

" you can call me dad honey " sht I forgot about that

"ah yes I mean dad hahaha" this is so freaking weird situation

"Veerle from now, you don't have to sleep in the attic anymore, I've told my men to move your things to the room." Mr.Nishimura suddenly said that with his seriously look

I was just shocked and silent for a while, I looked at Niki just staring at me

"Uhmm dad it's okay for me, I can-"

" No you can't, I know he has given you a hard time. I'm sorry for his behavior " Mr.Nishimura cut me off when I was about to explain

"now you can go with my wife to prepare dinner honey, I need to talk with Niki"

Mr.Nishimura and Niki went into the backyard.

" Are you lost your mind ?! why're you being so cruel to let her sleep in the Attic? why did you treat her badly? she cares about you, she's your wife!! you're such a stubborn kid Niki, You should be grateful to have a wife like her or you will regret it when she's getting tired of you " Mr.Nishimura Scold Niki

"I want you to marry Veerle not because of her mother's wishes before she died not because I want to give my company to you. She doesn't even know about her father's condition " He continued

" what do you mean? what happened to Mr.Lee?" Niki is confused with the last word his father says. Mr.Nishimura is silent for a while and tells Niki everything

" Understood? now go back inside!"

It's been a week I've been sleeping in this room. Niki always slept with his back to me. I always sleep looking at the back of My Crush, I still can't believe that I became her wife, even though this marriage means nothing for him and he ignores me all the time.

I remembered Mrs.Nishimura told me

" Always give him your best smile, kiss his cheek or forehead before sleep or when he just woke up. I know it will work out"

So I went towards Niki and kissed his forehead and smiling

"Riki-ahh wakey wakey, it's time to wake up"

Niki just opened his eyes, stand up, and glared at me.

"don't give that look Niki" hugged him, but he's slightly pushed me away and went to the bathroom.

Niki was about to leave for work, I gave him the breakfast that I already wrapped for him and he grabbed it.

"Bye Niki, Drive carefully" i waved to him.

"He never yelled or say something rudely to me again, it seemed like he's starting to accept me" *cheerful smile*

*Niki pov*

It's already time to go home, but i don't want to face her, she'd always give me those stupid clingy things. I hate her, If it wasn't for this company I didn't want to marry her.

"Riki-ahh, welcome home!!" she runs towards me, hugging me. I pushed her slightly and went upstairs. When I finished taking a shower I looked for my phone but I can't find it.

" argh, I must leave it downstairs with the car key. Sht I'm gonna face her again!! " I decided to go down, and I find her holding my phone without any word and she looked at me

" Someone just called you" she gave me my phone with a teary look and was about to leave me

"who?" I asked her

"your girlfriend"
