"As I was saying...Melvin, I'm sorry for snapping." David muttered lowering his head a bit.
"Oh no, it's alright. I mean, we all do it." Melvin replied. "But, uh, what were you saying?"
"Oh." David said. "Uh, have you actually really thought anout the people of The Chicken Ranch? I mean, what could happen to them if this gets to be a huge deal?"

Melvin thought for a minute or two about what David just said. "Well...If I'm being honest, I haven't actually thought of it."

"Now..." David began politely. "If you keep reporting on The Ranch, people will get hurt just like Ed Earl said. You might think you are doing good but you are also hurting people in the process. Does that make sense?"

"Why...yes. It- it does."
Melvin then sighed, feeling guilty. "Alright, I'll let it be."

After dinner, David met back with Ed Earl.
"Well? What did he say?" Ed Earl asked as David opened the car door.

"Melvin said that he'd leave the ranch alone." David told him as he got into the car. "I'm sure he was being for real this time too, he looked acted sincere."
Ed Earl nodded his head. "Good"

"He also invited us to go riding horses with him."
