The day couldn't get any more busier than it already was. People running everywhere, girls getting their Henna done, the males were fulfilling their responsibilities, maids were cleaning and some were helping Irum with her to get the work done for the day. It was a big day of course. It's Hareem's rukhsati. Everything has to be in order. Although the function was kept in a hall but no one could deny that the errands can never be done in a wedding house. No matter how much your are on time something will mess up and you have to give it your all to get it done as soon possible. Irum was running here and there from telling off the maids to check if everything was in place. There were plenty of people to help her, but she couldn't sit at one place. It was almost impossible when it's your own daughter's wedding.

"Hajra ap mere sath chalen mujhe Kuch kaam ha".
(Hajra come with me. I have some work)

She called out to her trusted maid Hajra who has been working with her for so long. Of course, she left some years ago when Hareem stubbornly told Irum that she could do the chores in the house and that both Hajra and Irum has to rest as they are getting older. Hajra being the sweetest decided to help Irum and Hareem as she always saw Hareem as her own daughter. She was delighted to know that Hareem was getting married.

Of course, Irum trusted Hajra and that's how she leads all the other helpers in the house. Hajra nodded after hearing Irum and went with her. Irum knocked at Hareem's room. The door opened and she stepped inside. Irum told Hareem

"Beta tum Hajra ke sath milkar apne kapre pack karlo take tumhen koi maslah na hu".
(Beta you should pack your clothes with Hajra's help so that it won't be a problem)

Hareem nodded. She quietly opened her closet and took out few pairs of clothes to placed in the bag as her clothes were already packed in the other suitcases she'll be taking with herself. She took out some necessary items for her and placed them in one bag so that it would be easy for her to change and she won't have to rummage through the suitcase. Hajra helped her with the packing and in no time she was done. Irum nodded her head and told Hajra to look out the other chores after thanking her. Irum looked at Hareem and with one glance she knew her daughter was bothered. She traced a hand over her head and said

"What happened, meri jaan? Why are you so quiet?"

Tears pooled in her eyes hearing her mother's caring voice and she hugged her tightly. Irum patted her back as she let her cry. Hareem muttered, her voice weary

"I don't want to go. I don't want to leave you".

Irum patted her head and made her sit on the bed. Hareem placed her head on her shoulder and wrapped her arms around her mother's frame. Irum told her softly

"I know your feelings Hareem. I've been through this before and I know you are feeling sad but that's how it's supposed to happen. We have to get married. Allah has planned everything for us. You are someone's wife now. You have completed Allah's hukam. Allah loves the idea of marriage. It saves us from millions of sins. When I married your father I used to cry because I miss my family, but he always supported me. He was always by my side. I know Sohail will take great care of you. He's a nice guy. Hardships are a fact of life. You should deal with them wisely so that no rash decision could harm you in the future. Always remember that you have your entire family supporting you. I will support you no matter what. You can talk to me about anything".
