Chapter 31: A Date

Rohaan:
I heard the announcement as it was announced that we will be landing in a few minutes. I looked to my right and saw that Hareem was sleeping soundly with her head placed on my arm which was numb. She's been sleeping for a while now, maybe an hour or two and I've been sitting like that since then. I don't have the heart to wake her up. Her emotions were already everywhere as the plane took off. She gripped my hand so tightly that her nails dug into my skin, but am I complaining
Of course not.
I ran my hand in her hair and gently spoke
"Hey wake up. We're about to land". She stirred awake and rubbed her eyes. She glanced from the window and we could see the runaway of the London airport. She smiled and her eyes tell the story that how much she is excited. We all sat still till the plane landed fully and then slowly people started to leave. I held her hand in mine and said
"Shall we?" She eagerly nodded her head and we stepped down of it.

I collected our luggage and made our way out of the airport. I glanced at her and she busy admiring the view the city had to offer. I hailed a cab and loaded our luggage inside the trunk. I gave the address to the driver and held Hareem's waist and ushered her inside the cab. Once we were settled, the driver started the car. I placed my head on the back of the seat to relax when I heard her quiet whisper
"How long is your house from here?" I glanced at her and she was looking at me with such an innocent expression. I held her hand and said
"It's just a half an hour drive and it's not my house. It's our home". She made an o face and I put her head back on my arm and said
"Rest". She closed her eyes and I did mine too, but was concious enough of our surroundings. Just when I thought she was sleeping, she again whispered
"What's the home like?" I popped open an eye and she smiled sheepishly at me. I sat straight and pulled her face closer to me just enough that her ear was inches away from my mouth and whispered
"You'll have to wait and see". She pushed me lightly and turned her face away. I laughed and placed a kiss on her red tomato like cheeks. She still didn't face me and the rest of the ride went like this with me teasing her and she being turned into a tomato.

I paid the cab driver and take out of the luggage. Hareem was standing at the door of the apartment. She was tapping her foot on the ground and when I reached her she reached for the bags as to take them inside. I chuckled and said
"Eager aren't we?" She said to me in return
"Jiggle they keys in". I held my hands in the air and jiggled the keys in. As the door opened I let her step inside first. She entered inside and I placed our bags at the corner of the room. I closed the door and said a bit to excitedly
"Welcome Home!" She looked at me and said
"It's beautiful". From we were standing we could easily make out the entire kitchen and the living room area.
