I woke up to the sun peering through my windows this morning

I woke up to the sun peering through my windows this morning. I did not want to get up at all. What I wanted was to have a restart of moving here. I hate that I am neighbors with Ace. It makes me so frustrated, out of all the people on this earth that could've lived next to me it is him. Are interactions did not go well the past couple of days. I am sure that he doesn't like me and thinks I should burn myself alive.

I can't keep thinking about him and imagining things about him.

MIA JUST FORGET ABOUT HIM!

Okay, I will!

I finally got up out of bed and went to my bathroom. Showered, brushed my hair, and teeth, and got ready. It's kind of chilly out, so I went with leggings and a short sleeve brown t-shirt.

When I got to the kitchen, I saw a note on the counter that was from my mom saying she got called in so she was at the hospital and will be home late.

I was really happy when I heard that we were moving but now that we did move, I hardly ever see her anymore. Don't get me wrong I love not having my parents around constantly and them telling me what to do but is do still wish that we could do the basics together.

A few hours went by, and I fixed myself a smoothie and have just been sitting on the couch watching Gilmore Girls. Suddenly I get a text and go to see who it was from.

             THE BADDIE BUNCH
Alexis: anyone up for a chill at the coffee house

Gracie: can't out shopping with mom

Blake: About to play some basketball with Ace. Maybe another time
I'll go if you pick me up in 20 minutes Alexis.

Alexis: Sounds good and yes can Mia

I went back upstairs to find my black doc martins. I slipped them on and did my hair in two French braids. I hear a honk from outside. I run downstairs get my bag and phone and hop in Alexis's car. Off to the Coffee house, we go.

"No way, you have been sky diving, that is so cool and scary I could never," Alexis says while laughing.

We have been doing the usual get to know each other talk. I found out some things that I would have never expected from Alexis.

She loves the harry potter series, chocolate cake, baking, and playing boring games. She has been to Italy, France, and Greece. She likes strawberries and seafood. She also doesn't do any sports and is in the choir.

"Yeah, I have it was really fun but also scary," I say.

"Well, I have never expected that anything else that would surprise me," she asked.

"Uhh well I am neighbors with Ace," I spat out.

God, why did I say that? I was doing so well.

Shocked, ultimately shocked.

"Are you serious," she asked.

"Yep, I am just as shocked as you are," I say with a half-smile on my face.

"Have you seen him at all or ran into him," she asks.

"Yeah, I have, we had a quick conversation, but it was nothing serious," I say. "Oh, and he took me home after the football game," I say.

"No way, he was there. Well, that's a shock," she said.

"Yeah, it was awkward, being in the car with him," I say.

We proceeded to talk about this topic for a while until we both got bored and decided to finish up and go home. She dropped me off at my house.  I asked her to stay but she said she has chores and homework to do. I should probably get my homework done as well.

About two hours go by, and I was sitting at my desk getting bored with doing homework, so I walked outside onto my balcony. I like this part of my room, it's cute and comes in handy. Ace has the same on his side.

Speaking of Ace he was in his room, standing shirtless. I guess he saw me because he was walking out to his balcony as well.

"It's rude to stare Mia," Ace says with a smirk on his face. He put his arms down on the edge and leaned over just a bit.

"Well I wasn't Ace," I say with a feisty tone. Which wasn't a good idea because in a flash he jumped over his balcony and onto mine.

OH GOD, THIS IS NOT GOOD!

"Keep lying to yourself," He says.

He is standing so close to me. I can smell his scent, aftershave, and a bit of pine. At least he cleaned up well. His hair was a bit damp from the water but not soaked.

"I wasn't lying Ace, now can you please leave," I say taking a step back.

He steps forward "you don't want me here, most girls would," he says.

"Well I am not most girls Ace, now get the fuck off my balcony before-"

"Before what, you wouldn't do anything to me Mia now would you," he says with a soft tone in his voice.

SMACK!

"Leave Ace now," I say and with that he does. He jumps back onto his balcony and goes into his room.

Oh my God, I can't believe I just slapped Ace, what is wrong with me? Don't get me wrong it felt good watching him flinch a little.

"MIA, I have been calling you for the last minute," my mom says as she opened my door.

"Oh sorry, mom I was doing homework and was concentrating. Why did you need something," I asked because she said that she was going to be home late tonight, but I was happy to see her anyway.

"Yeah, I got you something," she says while holding up the car keys.

"NO way, you got me a car," I say.

"Yep, and it's outside if you want to go see it," she says.

I hugged her and ran downstairs as fast as I could. I opened the door and was evidently in awe. I have a brand-new white jeep wrangler in my driveway. Luck was on my side this time.

"Go give it a spin," she says.

"Okay," I say. I hope in the car get it started and  roll my windows down. "Want to join me, mom".

"I'd be happy to," she says as she hopped into the passenger side of the car. "Just don't kill us," she says.

The basic stuff.
