"This is going to be a lot of work son. I have seen you play on the court and I know you are going to do great. The only factor that there is is that this will affect your personal life," Mr. Cash says. (The head coach of the Boston Celtics)

"Ace you don't have to make your decision now. You graduated only a week and a half ago and you are finally stepping into your adult life. If you need time to think about this decision you are allowed to do that," Tyler says.

It is a Thursday morning and I am currently sitting in one of the offices in Massachusetts. He called me the day after our prom was over and told me we had to start finalizing some things. The earliest I could get here was a week after prom because of everyone's grad party.

God, just being here is insane.

It has been a dream of mine to play in the NBA but I never imagined that would happen.

"Tyler can send you the information I just need a final confirmation that you are on board with everything," Mr. Cash says.

I let his words sink in. The only thing that's preventing me from doing this is my two girls back home. Mia hasn't gotten accepted into a college yet because her dad has been trying to get her to join a company for journalism for the AAB department. She offered to stay with Leah and watch her until she made her decision or I returned home.

"May I have some privacy to think about this? Give me an hour and then I will get back to you," I say.

"Of course. You have one hour and then we can talk again. But before I give you your privacy consider this. Ace this life isn't all about the fancy suits, glamorous jewelry, money, parties, and red carpets that the media makes it to be. I've seen different types of people crash and burn because it was too much for them to handle professionally and personally." Mr.Cash says.

"I know that sir, Tyler informed me and I have also watched and read many news articles about it," I say.

"Very well, then I will leave you to your decision-making."

He and Tyler both exit the room giving me the privacy I needed. I grab my phone and dial the person that I need to tell all this to.

"Hi," she says.

"Princess, we need to talk."

"About what? Are you okay? Did something happen," the sound of worry comes out of her mouth when talking.

"Everything is going just fine there are a couple of things I need to talk to you about."

"Talk. I'll listen," she says politely.

"We just finished a meeting and it was a lot more serious than I expected it to be. The coach said that this will affect my personal life as well. That means that I won't be able to talk to you as much. Do you still want me to move forward with the decision? All you have to do is say the words and I am on a plane the next morning."
