It was finally a nice day out

It was finally a nice day out. So you know what that means, time to have some fun. I texted the group chat and asked if anyone was down to go to the lake today. They all said yes, which I'm happy about.

We decide to meet at the lake.

I put on my plain black bikini and then threw on jean shorts and an oversized tee, slipped on my sandals, and headed downstairs to grab the snacks.

My mom wasn't home, she had to work. So it was just me. I gathered all my things up and opened the door and went out but was hit with a very hard chest.

"Why are you here," I say while walking to my car.

"Well since we are neighbors, wouldn't it be easier to ride together," he says.

"But your not in the group chat so how did you know about this?"

"Blake texted me,"

"Of course he did."

"Whatever, your driving me," he says.

"I mean I guess," I say. Before I am even finished with my sentence, he is already seated in the passenger side of my car.

"TO THE LAKE," he shouts!

Now, something is off with him. Yesterday he wanted nothing to do with me and now he's acting like he just ate a whole candy store.

"Why did you want to ride with me Ace," I ask because I did want to know.

He doesn't answer for a minute until he says, "You live right next door, and we are both going to the same place, so it would be cheaper to take one car."

He doesn't sound energetic anymore. There is a deeper reason why he wanted to ride with me.

"Like I'm supposed to believe that, yesterday it felt like you didn't want anything to do with me."

"I'm Sorry" he mumbles.

"What didn't catch that," I say

"I'M SORRY, OKAY" he yells "I'm SO SORRY FOR SAYING ALL THOSE THINGS YESTERDAY, I AM SORRY I HURT YOUR FEELINGS."

He stops yelling and puts his hands in the back of his hair. You can see the veins in his arms, which means he is very tense and not relaxed at all.

I put my hand on his shoulder which seems to calm him a bit.

"Don't apologize for that Ace, clearly you had something on your mind that made you act a certain way, we can forget about it and have some fun today," I say.

He doesn't say anything, instead, he just nods. I park the car and hop out to get the snacks. Ace was kind enough to wait for me.

We walked over to where Alexis, Gracie, and Blake were already sitting. They all just  stare as we come up to them. Blake and Ace do the bro hug and I set my stuff down and sat next to Alexis on the blanket she brought.
