The house was pretty quiet when I woke up this morning. I knew they were going to leave but I wish they didn't. My parents always tend to do this, come back, and pretend as if they care about me. They only come here to tell me everything I am doing wrong and what I need to do better.

I throw on a plain white tee and add black sweats, jewelry is always the same, and Air Force 1s for the shoes.

I hear the door unlock and someone from downstairs shouts "Hello anybody home."

I rush downstairs to be met with a woman, she didn't look much older than me. I guess that she is around 22. "Ace Sterling and you are."

"Oh I am the nanny your parents hired, but you can call me Meredith," Meredith says. I give her a quick handshake.

"Okay cool, uh she is still sleeping at the moment, I should be home around 1. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen and don't go in my room." I say. I hate when people invade your privacy.

"Got it, have a good day," Meredith says.

I give her a nod and grab all my things and walk out the door to be met by Mia.

"Mia wanna give me a ride," I ask her.

"Yeah hop in," she says.

Something is off with her. She is acting quite shy and closed off. I hop in the car and we are off.

"Mia."

"Ace."

"You okay."

"Yeah, just overthinking that's all."

"And what are you overthinking about."

"Okay well I want to ask you something but again I am scared too because I don't know how to,"

I cut her off "Mia just ask the question."

"Fine," she says and quickly tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. "So early this morning I was finishing doing my hair and I noticed a woman enter your house, and I mean it could have been your mom but it also could have been something else," Mia says while letting out a breath. "So who is she?"

"Oh Mia you don't have to worry about anything, she was just some nanny my parents hired for Leah."

"Leah, as in the kid your parents had," Mia says.

"Yeah."

"Aww, this is so cute you have a little sister." Mia squeals.

"No this is not cute, this is a nightmare."

"Ace have you ever babysat people," she asks me.

"No, why would I want to be around kids."

"This is going to be fun for you," she says and giggles.

"Whatever," I say.

Blah Blah Blah was all I kept hearing from the teacher. I currently am sitting in third-period physics and I don't like it except when Mia is teaching me of course. So like everybody else, I raise my stupid hand and ask to go to the bathroom because I am sick of physics and school.
