" Wake up .."
A loud bang on the door woke Wayne from his sleep. From outside, someone unlocked the door.
" Come with me " said Irwin
He and Wayne went to the bathroom. While they were in there, Irwin came close to Wayne.
" Hey... listen " he was about to say something.
" Let's go... " The guy who was outside came in.
He was taken to another room. They gave him something to eat; several pieces of bread and a glass of water. After breakfast, a guy walked up to Wayne.
" Come with me. " he pushed Wayne
They went to see their boss, She was waiting in a room.
" Did you sleep well ?" She asked Wayne
" Yeah I slept really well. Is that why you called me ? " Asked Wayne
" Ok tough guy, here is the deal. I will give you two choices. One - you can stay in the cell for the rest of your life or two - Join us, you can be an useful asset to our team. " Said the woman
" Why the sudden change of heart ? " Wayne looked into her eyes
" You impressed me yesterday. The way you spotted my guys, it was something." Said she
" Well I'm not an army brat like these guys. Or a highly ranked officer like you. " Said Wayne
" What makes you think that I was someone important ? " She asked Wayne
" Really ?... Shall I explain? Mmmm. Okay, they all carry military equipment, they were highly organised, their coordination .. I can go on....."
" And you... All of them are military, but I don't think they know about this place. Secret facilities like this, only a handful of people know about them. Access to these areas is very restricted. It is not possible to just barge in. You will need a password or an access card or something you had. When everything went to hell, you knew what to do. You brought as many people here as you could. If you were a regular guy, none of this would be possible,you'd be dead in the first place. " Wayne stopped
" You are good, but not precise. And what are you ? What's your story ? " She asked Wayne
" It's a really long story. I will tell you some other time. " Wayne replied
She laughed " Listen, I have a proposition for you. Join us. You look like a guy who seen blood. We could use a guy like that. "
" For what ? I told you it's just a matter of time. " said Wayne
" So what do you want to do ? Run ? From one place to the other until you're dead ? I don't know what you saw. It may be an isolated incident. "
" Let's think that what you are saying is true, then you can't be out in the open. "
" If it's true, you can stay here. You will be safe inside. Help us gather supplies. Be a part of our team, you don't belong in that cell . " she offered a gun to him
" But why me ? What about that others ? " Wayne asked
" They're not like us, they're weak, we picked them up from the street. I can't feed them for nothing. they must also do their part. " she replied
" What is this place anyway ? What do you want me to do ? " Asked Wayne
" Walk with me. " she told Wayne
