Chapter 24 - Change Of Plans

Everything went according to plan. Wayne was working on the core. He took the plutonium inside and installed it.

" Installation Successful. " said NOVA

He took out the Y-limeoum and put it carefully in a box.

" It's safe to come inside, everything is fine " Wayne told everyone.

As a precaution, he told everyone to wait outside. Sara was the only other person inside with him. But it was actually to test if they would all come outside if he said it was dangerous inside.

" Everything Ok ?" asked Sara

" Yeah, seems like it " Wayne replied

" What happened with the other thingy ? " asked Ashton

" You mean Y-limeoum, it's in a safe place, don't worry. It's not dangerous when it's not active " replied Wayne

" So we can leave ?" asked Ashton

" Yeah, just let the ship do her part. " Wayne replied

" When ? " Sara asked again

" Hopefully, by tomorrow evening, but it would be better if we left the day after tomorrow. " Said Wayne

" Why ? Are you delaying the departure. " Said Sara

" If things go wrong tomorrow, what will you do at night? If you have the patience to wait a few more hours, we can leave during the day when there is less danger. " Wayne replied

" Inform Caitlin " Sara told Ashton

Wayne called him as he was about to go outside

" I will take care of it " Wayne was talking about the sword

Ashton gave it to Wayne and went outside.

It's almost noon, Samuel was getting closer to the building. Zy was already there.

" Ma'am he is here " the soldier told her while looking through his binoculars.

She walked away from the window without saying anything.

Samuel saw a bunch of soldiers guarding the place. He went inside.

" She is waiting, come with me " said Ron

They both went upstairs

" You are earlier than I expected.Sit " said Zy

There were four other soldiers besides Samuel, Zy, and Ron. As Zy sat in the middle of the room, Samuel sat in the other chair.

They didn't talk for a moment.

" So what is this about ? " Samuel broke the silence

" You tell me " said Zy

" Tell you what ? I don't know what do you want " he replied

" So you send a bunch of guys to investigate the space ship. It's been a week since they left, but they still haven't returned. " said Zy

" Yeah I already told you that " said Samuel

" You don't look concerned at all " said Zy

" I don't wait for anyone to comeback, not anymore. " said Samuel

" Yet you haven't told me anything about it, before today " said Zy

" Why ? Whatever happens in our territory is our problem. That doesn't concern you. " Said Samuel

" Understandable, but what happened there wasn't normal, you don't see a space shuttle crashing down everyday. " Said Zy
