The next night, Kai and Natasha had to get ready in Kai's room for a party. Tony was hosting another party, which Kai wasn't really excited for. Honestly, she had not really been a fan of parties, especially parties hosted by Tony Stark, but she would learn to deal with it.

"Are you sure Dad is going to like this dress?" Kai asked, crossing her arms as she stared at herself in the mirror.

"It's not that bad, Kai

"It's not that bad, Kai. Honestly, it's a lot longer than the one I had originally found for you." Natasha replied, causing Kai to sigh.

"I guess you're right. I was just worried Dad would think the front is too short." She said, making Natasha laugh.

Anyhow, hours later, the party was in full swing. A lot of people were there, but Kai was keeping to herself. There was absolutely no one there that was even remotely close to her age. She stayed close to the bar where her Aunt Nat was stationed. She figured it would be safer to stay near her or Clint, since everyone else seemed to be drinking quite a bit and enjoying themselves.

"I know you're only eightteen, but I made you a small drink. You only have a couple more years until you're twenty one." Natasha commented, as she handed Kai a small glass.

"Dad's going to kill you if he finds out." Kai replied, making Natasha smirk.

"He can try, but I'll win," She answered,"Also, your dad had to keep me from giving you your first drink at sixteen when Evan hurt you." She added, causing the girl to smile.

"I can't believe it was two years ago. Honestly, time has gone by so fast, and Mom is still not happy I'm an Avenger." Kai said, and Natasha nodded.

"I can understand where she's coming from, but being an Avenger means you can definitely protect yourself and kick some ass, and for that I know she's proud of you." Natasha replied, causing Kai to grin.

Kai took a sip of the drink Natasha had handed her, and she was surprised when it actually tasted good. She remembered smelling whiskey when Tony was drinking it the once, and she almost threw up at the smell, and since the color of her drink seemed the same, she was afraid that was what Natasha had fixed her—luckily it wasn't.

"What is this?" Kai asked, after taking another sip.

"A long Island iced tea; believe it or not, I researched what drinks were best for a first drink, and this one was in the top five.  I made Tony drink quite a bit of them to make sure I got it right. You can ask him, I got him pretty damn loaded from how many I made him drink." Natasha replied, causing Kai to laugh.

"Well, you picked the perfect drink. I really like it." Kai commented, and Natasha smiled.

"There was a couple I considered other than this, like a piña colada, but I choose this one in the end. I knew you would've hated a bloody Mary, since you hate tomatoes with a passion." She said, making Kai grin.

"You know me so well." She replied, and Natasha nodded with a smirk.

Natasha ended up giving Kai a couple more, but they were small, so she didn't really drink too much. By the time everyone left, other than the Avengers, Natasha knew she wouldn't be able to sneak Kai anymore because of Clint. They all sat around in the main room, talking about Thor's hammer.

"But it's a trick," Clint commented, causing Kai to smirk.

"No, no," Thor answered, chuckling,"it's much more than that."

"So whoever be he worthy shall haveth the power," Clint joked, his voice going low, causing Kai to roll her eyes,"Whatever man, it's a trick," He continued to claim, motioning to the hammer, as Thor simply chuckled.

"Please, be my guest," Thor replied, raising his hand towards the hammer in a welcoming gesture.

"Really?" Clint asked, and Thor nodded,"yeah," He answered.

"Oh, this is going to be beautiful," Rhodey commented, and Kai felt amused by him.

"Clint, you've had a tough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up," Tony joked, and everyone laughed, except Kai, she faked a gag.

"You know I've seen this before, right?" Clint voiced, nodding to the hammer.

Clint pulled on the hammer, a clear struggle was noticed by everyone in the room.

"I still don't know how you do it," Clint said, laughing off the fact that he was unable to pick up the hammer.

"Smell the silent judgement?" Tony asked, smirking up at Clint.

"Please, Stark, by all means," Clint replied, calling him out.

Tony stood with a sigh, as Clint walked back over to his spot on the floor.

"Next time," Kai murmured, and her father shrugged.

"Never one to shrink from an honest challenge," Tony commented, looking over at everyone,"it's physics," He added, before turning to Thor,"so if I lift it, I then rule Asgard?" He asked, and Thor nodded slightly.

"Yes, of course." Thor replied, knowing Tony was too confident in himself.

"I will be reinstituting prima nocta," He said, causing Kai to roll her eyes.

She watched as Tony tried to pull on the hammer, but he was struggling.

"Be right back," He announced, before he walked off.

Kai laughed quietly to herself, knowing exactly where Tony was going. Tony came back with an arm from his Iron Man suit and he tried to pull the hammer. He had even powered up the arm, but to no avail. He then pulled Rhodey up with him to help him pull on the hammer.

"Are you even pulling?" Rhodey asked, looking over at Tony.

"Are you on my team?" Tony asked, looking back at his friend.

"Just represent. Pull," Rhodey replied,"Alright, let's go," Tony added, as he and Rhodey pulled the hammer, but still couldn't lift it.

Once they completely lost, the team watched as Bruce went and failed as well.

"Go, Steve, no pressure," Tony murmured, as Steve then stood up to take his own turn.

The team watched as Steve placed his hands on the hammer, before he began to pull on it. Kai swore she seen the hammer move slightly, and she knew she was right when she seen Thor had let out a nervous chuckle when Steve had let go of the hammer with a defeated sigh.

"Widow?" Kai heard, causing her to turn towards the redhead.

"Oh, no no, that's not a question I need answered," She replied, taking a sip of her drink.

"Katniss?" Tony asked, causing Clint to look up at her.

"I'm not trying and looking like a fool like the rest of you." She answered, causing her father to laugh.

"All difference to the man who wouldn't be king, but it's rigged," Tony commented, ignoring Kai's insult.

"You bet your ass," Clint replied, and Kai chuckled.

"Steve," Maria called,"he said a bad language word," She commented, causing the others to laugh.

"Did you tell everyone about that?" Steve questioned, looking over.

"The handle's imprinted, right?" Tony asked, looking to Thor,"Like a security code? Whoever's caring Thor's finger print, is I think the translation," He commented, and Thor chuckled.

"Yes, that's a very very interesting theory," Thor began, as he stood up and picked up his hammer,"I have a simpler one. You're all not worthy," He said, causing some to boo and others to laugh.

The laughing seized when a loud ringing was heard through the room. The party had ended at that moment...
