Chapter Song - Paris by Taylor Swift

"Mumma," Archer whines as he makes grabby hands up at me.

I smile, picking him up. "Oh, sweet boy. It's only two weeks, and we'll call you three every single day," I reassure him, his face nuzzled in the crook of my neck.

"But I want you to stay." he whines, and I rub his back soothingly.

"I know you do, but you'll have so much fun with granny and grandpa," I reassure him, Marianne in front of me, her face soft. "We have to go, sweetie." I tell him, and he pulls back from my shoulder.

He hugs me tightly again, before he looks around for Danny. "Lets go say bye to daddy, hm?" I say and he nods.

Heading to the kitchen, Marianne behind me, the girls are sat on the island talking to Danny and Phil while eating some breakfast. "He wants to say bye," I tell Danny, and he reaches over to take Archer in his arms.

"Hey, bub," he smiles to Archer, who just cuddles him tightly. We haven't been away from Archer for such a long period of time before, and in his mind two weeks could practically be forever, so he's been just a little clingy.

Which of course I don't mind at all.

I head back over to the girls, the both of them reaching out and hugging my torso. "Are you going to call us everyday?" Bridie asks.

"Mhm, I pinkie promise," I hold my pinkie out towards her, and she interlocks hers with mine. "I'm going to miss you two so much," I press kisses to their cheeks and foreheads.

"We'll miss you too, mummy," Hallie smiles, and I wipe a drip of strawberry jam from her mouth.

Bidding our final goodbyes to the kids and Danny's parents, we make our way to the taxi sitting out front of his parents house. We pack our suitcases into the trunk, before hopping into the back, Danny telling the driver to head to the airport.

"I love them, but..." Danny drifts off with a sigh.

"I know," I smile, holding his hand in my lap. "But I'll miss them so much, I already do," I say, leaning back into the leather taxi seat.

He pecks my lips. "Me too, but if we gave into them we'd never leave the house, and we need our honeymoon," he smiles, and I nod in agreement.

Once we make it through security and onto the plane, I relax into our first class seats. An air hostess comes around and offers us drinks, which I happily take and ask for both a water and the champagne she has offered.

In the air for the 7 and half hour plane ride to Paris, I glance out the window. The clouds cover the city of New York, hoaxing us into a dreamland state you seem to only get when travelling - specifically when flying.

We arrive in Paris at almost 5pm in the afternoon, the airport is busy as we make our way to a car out front, our luggage already packed into the boot. Getting into the back seat, we set off to our hotel, the both of us tired from our long flight, but I couldn't be anymore excited.
