CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Who knows what stored in front of us.

When Sybil and I was making fun of Beta, a loud and angry voice stopped us from laughing in the middle hallway of the hospital.

"YOU." Sybil and I looked at each other then I moved my eyes away from her to the angry male standing in front of us. I gulped knowing why he is here.

Of course he will know one way or another. He is an Alpha after all. I was dumb enough to think I can't get caught.

He was radiating so much power along with his angriness towards me.

I blurted quickly. "I didn't go to her." I tried to explain as much as I can. But one glare from him shut me up.

"SHUT UP." He closed the distance between us and I unconsciously backed away from him.

An angry Alpha is dangerous and you should stay far away from him as much as you can. But here I am standing just a few feet away from him.

I get he is doesn't like me or something but that doesn't mean he can talk to me any less than a human. I can make him frog if I want to but that's just childish to do. But honestly who cares if I saw someone irritating me to give me a strong never ending headache, I am intend to defend myself from such.

"IF I EVER SEE YOU NEAR A TEN FEET DISTANCE TO MY DAUGHTER, I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS AND SEND YOUR BODY TO YOUR PRECISION GRANDMOTHER." Oh fuck!

He is angry. So much angry.

But who is going to tell him that I didn't go to her. She came to me. That little sweet girl. How can she is his daughter? It's nearly impossible to connect this too. She looked very different from him. She must look like her mother then.

"UNDERSTOOD?" I thought he left already. "Yes." I whispered but knowing his hearing, he heard it then with a long stride he left the hospital too. I clenched my teeth in annoyance because it wasn't my fault at all. If anyone should be blame then it's his mate. His mate told the little girl to get to me and she left her to me at my cabin.

I seriously don't know what I should believe or what I should not be believed.

"What did you do girl?" Sybil asked me worriedly, long gone her laughing as her face was nervous unlike me.

I shrugged my shoulders. "His little girl came to my cabin today."

"Sarai?"

Oh yes, that's her name. Sarai just like princess. Sweet name to a sweet girl like her.

I nodded at her. She then furrowed her brows wondering how she came to my cabin. "I don't know." I answered her her silent question.

I just can't tell her that Sarai said her mother brought her to my cabin as her mother is dead and no one will believe me too. Maybe Sarai walked alone by wandering around the pack house. Then I just returned to my cabin because there wasn't anyone I need to heal.

"Ala."

Oh goddess please not again. That's the second time in a day, I am seeing her.

First time I was successful to handle the situation without knowing Alpha Onyx and in the end he knew somehow but fate can't just give me another second chance. Alpha Onyx surely will cut me into pieces as he already threatened me.

But I couldn't just hate the little girl. She is too sweet to even get angry at her.

Later that evening when I came from the hospital, I was cooking something for me when I heard Sarai's melodic voice in my living room. I quickly turned off the stove and went towards the girl in the living room.

"Yes sweetheart?"

Morning she was dressed in jumpsuit but now she was dressed in a cute little blue dress with her hairs tied above her head.

Who did dress her? And who did do her hair too?

Her father is an Alpha so he must have maids under him.

Her smile was wide seeing me and quickly rushed towards me. I picked her and pampered her with my kisses as the sound of her giggle vibrated in my silent cabin.

I asked the same question to her. "Did mommy bring you here?"

She nodded as her head was in between my neck and shoulder.

Something is not right.

Her mommy is dead but why she is lying.

She can't lie, she is just three years old little girl Ara. Don't be stupid.

I then brought her to my bedroom. I was too nervous to play with the little girl but when I saw her pout, I couldn't help but melt at her.

Oh fuck his father.

I didn't mean it like that but still.

There was a knock on my bedroom door instead of main door. I opened it without getting up from the bed only to see the beta was standing there and when he saw I didn't open the door, his eyes were as ball. Then he looked at me with a question in his eyes.

Sometimes I really forgot about the magic that runs deep in blood and assumed that I am still a human. Before I did everything with magic but now, for time to go, I started doing it on my own. To pass the time but sometimes when I was tired like now, I opened it.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you want now Beta?"

When the little girl saw the beta, she jumped on the bed. "Olo."

Olo?

Seeing her bubbly talk, Olo isn't his name.

He smiled at her and walked further into the room then stood in front of Sarai.

"How's my little girl doing?"

"Ala has so much toys. Look." Then she pointed her cute small hands to him which had toys in them.

"Ara is very kind." And then he looked at me.

I raised my brows at him.

When he saw Sarai was playing with toys, he spoke. "Alpha will be mad again." I know thanks for the obvious mister.

I rolled my eyes. "And I can't do anything about that beta."

I really can't do anything about that because it wasn't like I brought her here. She came by her own. But nobody will believe the outsider. I sighed.

"How come she is so fond of you." He asked further but he didn't ask me how Sarai came here.

I shrugged. I honestly didn't know the answer to that question.

"You quite beat me yesterday."

A smile formed on my face. "Are you ready for round two then?"

He laughed. "Unfortunately, I have duty."

I pouted. "Are you afraid of this human?"

He laughed again. "Oh! You are something else but human Ara."

He is easy to get along with and since fighting with him the first time, we get along with quite well too. Didn't think the man who was grumpy and angry at first, will be nicer to me later.

"I will take her to the pack house then before her father gets angry again." I nodded at him.

After bidding both of them good night, I was left alone in my bedroom.

Next few days were the same, Sarai coming and sometimes his beta or sometimes his pack members came to help me. They too knew about their Alpha's anger towards me for some reason. But I knew Alpha Onyx know about his daughter playing with me but his pack members and beta handled him giving him some lame reasons as Beta said.

In that days, Sarai and I bonded very close.

Pack members too very kind to me and genuine. I got the same thing from my childhood pack, Niamh's pack. I wonder how is he and his mate.

Do not go there Ara. I scolded myself when my thoughts wondered to the scene that changed my life.
