Chapter 24

Johnnie's pov:

Me and Phoenix were just laying in bed watching American horror story, our favorite show at the moment.

It was a rainy Sunday night, so it was the perfect setting to just chill and lay down.

I was rubbing Phoenix's head listening to her soft inhales and exhales.

"JOHNNIE COME HERE!" My mom yelled.

"Great." I said getting up.

I ran downstairs.

"What mom?" I asked.

"This is ridiculous." My mom said holding out a piece of paper with a bunch of writing on it.

"What is that?" I said curious.

"A letter I got in the mail, talking about how you missed too much school, they don't even know if you go to that school anymore!" She yelled.

"I- mom you know I can't stand school, I mean Phoenix doesn't go either!" I exclaimed.

"Well I shouldn't get a letter in the mail!" She said.

"School is almost out anyways, it's may." I said annoyed.

"I don't care, you need to at least go 3 days a week."

"Ewww no mom please!" I said.

"You have finals, you heard what I said."

"Ughhh what the fuckk!" I groaned.

"Language!" She yelled.

I walked upstairs rolling my eyes, cringing at the thought of actually going to school every week.

"Phoenixxxx." I groaned plopping on the bed.

"What's wrong?" She asked sitting up.

"My mom got a letter in the mail about how I missed too much school, and she said I need to start going at least 3 times a week."

"Well she's got a point, finals are coming."

"Yeah but fuck school, we won't ever use that Yx+b bullshit in the future anyways."

"True, I hate school and I would honestly drop out, but you need to listen to your mom."

"True, just promise you'll go with meee." I wined.

"Duhhh, we got to go tomorrow though." She stated.

"Ughhh nooo." I said covering my hands with my face.

"We should probably go to bed then." She said.

I groaned some more.

"Cmonnnn." She said pulling me towards her.

We turned off the lights and watched amh till we fell asleep.

Morning

I slowly opened my eyes.

Phoenix was getting ready for school.

"You up?" She said smiling.

She came over to me and bent down to give me a kiss.

"Get up, you need to get ready for school sleepyhead."

"Fuck my life." I said rolling my eyes.

I kissed her back and got out of bed.

I did my typical morning routine, but I skipped breakfast.

Sometimes I just wasn't hungry in the morning.

Me and Phoenix left and held each other's hands as we walked to school.

"Don't get into another fight today babe." I said joking.

"I won't, that bitch better not say a word to me or you though." She said.

I smiled.

We arrived to the school and waited outisde until the bell rung.

Phoenix walked me to class, and even walked past the girl she beat up, she had scratches all over her face, but the girl didn't dare to say a word to Phoenix.

"That's exactly what I thought." Phoenix whispered under her breath.

"Bye baby, see you later." Phoenix said kissing me.

"Bye babe, be safe." I said kissing her back.

Phoenix walked away but I realized that I needed to pee so I walked towards the restrooms.

Until somebody butted in front of me.

Greatttt.

Alex.

"Heyyy Johnnie!" She said.

"Oh hey Alex, what's up?" I said hoping she won't yap.

"Okay so, my friend is throwing a party at her house this Friday, and I think you and Phoenix should come." She said handing me an invitation slip.

"Ohh, uh I don't kno-"

"Cmon just take it, run it by Phoenix and see what she thinks." She says handing me the slip.

"Alright, thanks." I said taking the slip from her hand.

"Bye johnnie!" She said with a big grin.

I looked at the invitation.

Come pull up to Terrisa's party !

May 17th

7:30 pm

1126 New sanders drive

Bring some type of drink
(If wanted)

I don't think Phoenix is going to want to go, but I'll ask.

I've never been to a party and I don't think Phoenix has either.

We just don't seem like the party type of people, we are already very anxious and introverted.

The bell rung and I forgot I needed to go to the bathroom, so I just walked to class.
