The sun's rays slipped through the gap between the light yellow curtains and illuminated her room .Roseanne was staring at the ceiling completely oblivious of her surroundings.

It had been a hard night for her, the nightmares never seemed to leave her alone. It haunted her, every single night and promised to return the next day. She feared to close her eyes at night, her nightmares included that certain green eyed man whose face she was unaware of ,but very well knew the holder of those orbs that she had fallen in love with many years ago.

Pain. That's all she felt. The pain of loosing her family and the pain of loosing her one and only love. The boy she had grown to love at a very tender age. The charming, handsome and silent boy, whose green eyes never left her life, even after he left.

A small part inside her that existed without her knowledge, still craved for him, craved for his touch, presence and comfort that he used to always provide her with when they were young.

A small part inside her wanted to see him, see him for one last time.
She tried to picture her little Alex into a full grown man. A man whose face she couldn't fix other than those eyes. She was sure he would have become a handsome young man with full of muscles at all the right...

" No Rose.. No, you can't think about him. No."

She shook her head from side to side and let out a breath. She wiped away a stray tear that unknowingly escaped from the side of her eyes disappearing somewhere into her hair.

She got up,folded her blanket and stacked it at the foot of her bed .
She entered the bathroom, the cold tiles gave her chills all over. She made her way to the basin and stared at the mirror in front of her , only to be welcomed by a disheveled, swollen eyed, broken women.  She pitied herself. But somewhere deep down, she knew that she would come out of this nightmare and start living a normal life in this beautiful place. A normal life, where she would wake up in the morning with a smile on her face and look out of the window at the world in front of her with happiness.

She picked up the tooth brush, squirted some toothpaste on it and started brushing her teeth looking at the mirror. She stared at herself while she was unconsciously being carried away to a distant memory she had with her elder sister.

"ROSE. I said move, I want to stand in front of the mirror first. Your chance got over yesterday."

Her elder sister Lisa shouted into her ears, pushing rose to the side with a small giggle.

The two sisters surely knew the best ways to fight..

"Nope, I am standing right here.  I came in first Lisa. You can brush your teeth after I am done."

Roseanne pushed her sister away and stood there smiling smugly at her sister through the mirror.

" Fine then", she said and made a run for the bathroom door picking up the toothpaste from the stand.
She stood near the door and toyed with the toothbrush in her hand

" You have to move now sweet Rose, or else I am going to finish the contents of this tube on your teddy bear, like I did the last time. And you surely know that I will do it"

Lisa said and looked at the mirror with a smirk on her face at a very irritated rose.

Rose sighed and shut her eyes gripping the basin with her toothbrush cramped up between her hand and the edge of the basin. She pressed her lips into a thin line and controlled her tears from falling off. Without wasting another minute, she quickly washed her mouth and splashed water on her face after which she made her way out of the bathroom.
