The Sun falls down past the horizon,
taking the light which guides to its keep.
The Moon ascends to heavenly heights,
keeping its luminous glow out of reach.

Day and Night toil for the ancient cycle,
as Life and Death yield the hand of Fate.
Within the inner sanctum struggles rage,
warring always to breach the forged gate.

Banes clash with victors who give no quarter,
while scions collaborate wicked means for spoil.
Estranged minions sneak about with daggers,
plotting schemes against the heart most loyal.

Only heralds with faithful scrolls deliver hope,
announcing through melodies the chance of peace.
At their soothing words the battle clouds do part,
granting a view of appeasement that will soon cease.
