Within

Within my chest is a swollen wound.

The shadow of my heart could crush a stone.

Beaten by It's desire I wander through sorrow,

until I choke and can no longer breathe.

The questions of puzzles arises;

How is a one piece puzzle solved?

Only the Divine knows, the Creator of each piece.

Such fabrications help to ease the pain,

but the wound does not heal.

Dreams infect, their taunts fester.

The cure of the suitor's challenge I seek,

but it is withheld.

Miles of daylight hinder my pursuit,

the rest is twisted by time.

The trail behind me is littered with wanting steps,

the path ahead shows no reprieve.

Come back to me ignorant hopes of my youth,

fill this carcass with your illusions.
