There is One

There is one who does take me by spell

more so than the mystic twilight hour,

Upon me the sunrise or sunset

has never had such power.

.

Sparkling gems and shimmering stars

have not the luster of her eyes,

that pierce me through heart and soul

only to happily mesmerize.

.

Songbirds nor soft rain chatter

can bring my ears such delight,

as the honey sound of her voice

that erases my plight.

.

The full moon's reflection

on the calm sea below,

fails to match the splendor

even of my light's shadow.

.

A gleaming rainbow under Heaven

set against the sky so blue,

is a wondrous sight indeed

but pales against the beauty I know is true.

.

Days will dream as they do and

nights will whisper as they go,

to remind me always of that Grace

which warms me with a glow.
