Some Days

Some days,

when the Mountains seem too high,

I need only glimpse her smile,

which lifts me to the sky.

.

Some days,

when the Road is too rough,

it's the caress of her draping tendrils,

that reminds me life ain't so tough.

.

Some days,

when the Sun refuses to shine,

it's the stirring light in her eyes,

which restores the hope in mine.

.

Some days,

when the Wind howls away,

I take refuge in her arms,

where I dream to always stay.

.

Some days,

when the Heat threatens to consume,

it's the shade of her grace,

that allows my soul to bloom.

.

Some days,

when the Cold leaves me in slush,

I recall how her arrival,

made a weathered stone blush.

.

Some days,

when I buckle and face a fall,

it's for Her that I rise,

and strive to be my all.
