Heart Pangs

My love, sometimes I stumble and fall,
for I am just a man after all. 

At times my feelings are difficult to explain,
though what I feel for you never does wane. 

Close to you is where I always long to be,
it's all of you that makes my life full and happy. 

To think I could ever tarnish your smile or bring you hurt,
dashes my heart and makes me feel like a world class jerk. 

For you are my treasure whom I cherish through and through,
and with each day that passes I want more and more of you. 

So please forgive me when I falter and cause sad songs,
and remember that to you my devoted heart belongs. 

If doubts or fears should ever arise to hurt those eyes of blue,
listen silently and know always that I truly love you.
