The Pull

When I ponder the distance between us,
I recall all of you that all of me misses,
from your sneaky gazes and fun laughter,
to your warm breaths and little kisses.

The way we're always connected by touch,
as well as the thoughts we openly share,
the way that when you're in my sights,
I'm floating without a worrisome care.

The way your beauty is mine to behold,
with doting stares I cannot restrain,
or hungry eyes that narrow and prowl,
because your womanly allure ignites a flame.

The ways our bodies join together as one,
with throws of passion and perfect pleasure,
unleashing our cravings for one another,
time and again without limits of sensual measure.

The moments we spend out and about,
simply doing everything and anything,
from errands, chores, or date night jaunts,
together with you always makes my heart sing.

But when the distance between us starts to pull,
all of me that misses all of you goes into alarm,
and what I really need to calm that rising swell,
is the feel of you wrapped tightly in my arms.
