Falling For You

Chapter Seven

"Let's play hide and seek outside!" Kylie stood up, collecting all of our empty beer bottles. Out of all of us she was feeling the alcohol the most, she wasn't quite yet drunk but she was more chipper than normal.

As she threw the bottle away Fredo yelled behind her, "Hell no, how old are we? I mean I know you're the youngest but I didn't think you were still into that shit.

"No, I think it'd be fun too. It's dark but as long as we have flashlights we should be good. We're on private property, what the hell could happen?" I defended Kylie who was smiling and nodded her head at my words. Tessa shrugged, looking towards the guys who did not seemed convinced.

Justin smirked from his spot on the couch across from me, looking at him I mouthed, "Please, come on."

He visibly sighed and agreed with our idea causing Fredo and Za to eventually agree as well. Kylie took initiative with getting everything together, first finding the flashlights she had accessible.

"I only have three? So teams maybe?" I nodded and looked at Tessa who was not looking back at me but instead was talking to Kylie in a low voice next to her. Kylie nodded and spoke out loud again, "Since it's dark maybe we should do boy-girl teams, 'cause I don't want to be alone and Tessa said she doesn't want to either. So I say Tessa is with Fredo, me with Za I guess, and Nadia and Jay?"

Everyone nodded in agreement, Justin taking a flashlight from Kylie. I suddenly wondered what team would have to be it first and silently hoped it wasn't us.

"Who's it? Are there any rules?" Fredo questioned, trying to figure out what was going on. Turning to Kylie she looked around, "Um, me and Za will be it first. Rules? You can hide in the garage, just don't touch my cars please, and the pool house is cool too."

I nodded and followed as everyone waited for Kylie and Za to start counting. When they did I quickly followed Justin out the back door. The outside was too dark, the only light came from the pool lights and our flashlight. I stared at my feet watching each step I took carefully, as Justin moved quickly in front of me.

"Slow the fuck down." I laughed, trying to keep up.

He waved me faster and waited for me to come to his side, "We only got so much time and if we're gonna play this stupid game we're gonna win. I know where we can hide but it's one the other side of the lawn."

I shook my head and continued to follow him. When we finally got to where we were hiding Justin knelt down on the ground, leaving me to bend down next to him. The lights from the house no longer reached where we were and the flashlight was turned off.

I attempted to speak quietly to Justin, "Why the hell didn't we just play inside?"

"Cause when you let Kylie make the decisions they aren't good ones. So you and Kylie friends now?"

"I'd say so, why you jealous she's my friend and not you?"

He scoffed and looked over the plants that we were kneeling behind, "Nah, just means I'll be seeing a lot more of you guys. I'm not complaining but I'm not jealous neither."

From the other side of the plants there were low whispers that we could only assume came from Kylie and Za. Justin bent further down and motioned for me to do the same. Low enough for only me to hear he whispered, "How the hell did they think to even come over here?"

I shrugged as a light was shined in our direction and Kylie yelled, "I heard you idiots."

"We gotta find 'em, not just hear 'em. Dumbass." Za retorted as they got closer to where we were hid.

Justin slightly turned towards me to whisper in my ear, "You think you can run fast?" I nodded, "When I say run okay?"

I hesitantly nodded again and watched as he looked for them again, once the got too close Justin quickly yelled run. I quickly came up, running behind Justin as I looked for Kylie and Za, they're faces darted towards us then one another.

"That's fucking cheating!"

Justin pulled my arm while running, "Nah! We're just changing the rules, it's tag now too. You gotta tag us before we're it!"

"Assholes!"

I laughed as Justin led me to Kylie enormous garage, quickly shutting the door behind him. He waved me to a corner behind what looked like Kylie's Mercedes G Class.

"These are some nice cars."

Justin shook his head looking through the window of the car at the door he had just closed. He waited for them to show up but they never did leaving Justin to sit down next to me, "I got some better cars. You should come see 'em, babe. I'll bring you to my place tomorrow and you can see them."

"Oh now you're inviting me to your place? Damn you move fast."

"I mean you were already in my bed."

I was took focused on Justin's words to notice that Kylie stood over him, ready to reach out and tag him. When she tapped his shoulder Justin's head fell to look at the ground, "Fuck."

"Next time don't fucking flirt when it's a fucking war zone out here. Get the fuck up and help us find Tessa and Fredo. I don't know how the hell we ended up finding you two first but we did."

Za laughed, "It's 'cause Biz used to hide his weed there sometimes. When you didn't want him smoking here he'd go back there and smoke."

"Fuck you, Za. Man I knew I can't trust you with nothing."

I shook my head, laughed but following behind everyone. We walked quietly through the yard, Justin and I behind the other two. Beside me Justin nudge me and waved me to follow him. When I did he led me back in the house to sit in the kitchen.

"Za gave me an idea, wanna go smoke?"
