I sat at a table of a small restaurant next to Tessa, we were currently waiting for a friend of hers that lived in the area. Tessa had told me their name but I quickly forgot. From where we sat outside I could see Tessa's car, that as Justin said one of his security guards had dropped off.

We were the only ones that were sitting outside allowing us to only hear the sounds of passing cars and the occasional breeze. Behind us the door to the restaurant opened, revealing our waiter followed by a girl with blonde hair. She wore a tan colored dress with heels and a white jacket.

I silently watched as she greeted Tessa, and took in how pretty she actually way. I began to wonder if there was an unattractive person in Calabasas at all.

As they both sat down Tessa introduced me, "Val, this is Nadia. Nadia, I told you about Val. She's a model, Val Mercado."

Val smiled at me, putting her bag on the empty spot of the table. Once Tessa had reminded me that she was a model I could instantly see it. Not only did she look like she could be one, she carried herself like one. Her confidence radiated off of her and I wished I had a fraction of that much confidence.

"What have you guys been doing while you've been here?" Her question was directed towards Tessa as the waiter finished taking my order.

Once he was out of earshot Tessa answered, "Sounds crazy, but we've been hanging out with Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, and Kendall a little too."

Val nodded, making a small face at the sound of Kylie's name. From the look I could only assume that she was not Kylie's biggest or smallest fan. Instead of questioning her about it Tessa continued, "But yeah, Nadia's even kissed Justin. But I don't think even she knows what's going on there?"

Across the table Val's eyes widened and I gave her a shrug, "Hailey's Justin? Damn, thought she had him locked."

I furrowed my eyebrows at the words 'Hailey's Justin'. Yes, I had seen the pictures and heard the rumors I mean even Kylie had confirmed them, but I didn't know that she had some unspoken claim on him.

"What do you mean 'Hailey's Justin'?" Val's smiled a little shaking her head, "Nothin', I just thought it was clear. I don't really hang with any of them anymore but when I did Hailey wouldn't really let anyone that wasn't her fuck with him. Not that he really needed to be with anyone after Selena but whatever."

The rest of the lunch was silent and even as our food arrived the two of them only made small talk. Once we go back to the car, I quickly took to my phone to look at Justin's instagram that contained plenty pictures of him and Hailey.

I was careful not to let Tessa see but somehow she knew, "Who cares, Nadia? He kissed you didn't he? Clearly he doesn't give a fuck who has some unspoken claim on him."

She took the words that I thought earlier but I still was uneasy. I remembered the conversation Hailey was having with Kylie last night and it made a little more sense now. I didn't want to let this get to me, because as of right now Justin didn't really mean anything to me.

"I wasn't gonna tell you 'cause we're only here for a few months, but when I got in the car this morning there was a note from Justin on the dash. I guess he had his guard leave it here." As she said this she handed me the small piece of paper.

It read: Text me back? I can't ask you to go to dinner with me tonight if you don't.

I tucked the note into my purse, careful not to make any facial expression that would indicate what it said to Tessa. As much as I loved her I knew she would try to keep me from going out with him. Though she had a right to, I knew she was right it was just a summer but I also knew that I came here to have fun. So if fun included a summer fling with Justin Bieber so be it.

Pulling my phone back out I flipped to my messages that for the past two weeks was very dry. The only texts being sent out were to my mom or a friend back home. Rather that his name, his number sat at the top of my screen.

I silently typed, Dinner? I'm feeling sushi.

Tessa quietly drove and as she did I looked at each individual house that we passed. Each looked like they would be found on an HGTV show. I couldn't imagine living in a place like this my whole life. Of course I wouldn't, but other people had. Other people like Kylie, who had grown up in houses similar to all of these houses.

Of course there were houses like this Ohio, but for every ostentatious house in Ohio there were a thousand three bedroom family homes. As I thought my phone loudly vibrated at my side, catching the attention of Tessa.

"You texted the fucker didn't you? I mean do what you want, Nadie but just know that I've seen you fall hard for some guys and now can't be one of those times." She talked while putting the car in park in the driveway.

I nodded, agreeing, "No, I feel you. I get it and I know I can't. He's him anyway, anyone would be stupid to fall for someone as famous as him. Just fun to play around a little. He wanted to know if I wanted to go to dinner tonight."

When we got out of the car I received a long nod, and when we got inside and I made it to my room I finally looked at the text.

We'll compromise, hibachi? Around 7.

I sent one back, agreeing and then getting into the shower

The outfit I chose was good enough for a dinner with Justin, but also casual enough for just hibachi. I kept my make up and hair simple as well and gotten the approval of Tessa on everything. I could tell that she was still shaking her head at my decision but she said nothing.

It was half past six, so I sat across from Tessa on the the living room couch currently watching Scandal

It was half past six, so I sat across from Tessa on the the living room couch currently watching Scandal. Tessa paused the screen causing me to look up at her, "So you guys are going out to eat, right?"

I nodded, not seeing where she was taking this but her eyebrows were furrowed, "You didn't consider that he's Justin Bieber and people are going to take pictures?"

Before I could answer the doorbell loudly rang, we both looked at the door before getting up. Although it was early we both knew it was Justin. Opening the door I was met by Justin's smiling face. He was dressed in black jeans, a white shirt, and an army green bomber jacket. I suddenly felt over dressed but didn't consider changing.

"You're early." I stood aside to let him in while I grabbed my purse.

"My studio is down the street and we got done early tonight, so I just drove straight here." I nodded, watching as he looked around the house. Tessa also watched giving him a strange look.

The question that his appearance had interrupted popped back into my head, "So what were we gonna do about paparazzi?"

"Fuuuck."
