Chapter Thirty-Six
Feeling my breath catch as his breathtaking blue eyes met mine, that held an unrecognizable emotion, I couldn't help but notice he looked as attractive as ever, his brown hair was ruffled like usual, his dark jeans hung low on his hips, and his gray shirt was just loose enough to leave you wondering what truly laid beneath the fabric.
In that moment I wanted nothing more than to run into his arms and kiss him until my head felt dizzy, but the girl standing behind him quickly brought me to my senses.
With my eyes locked with his, I felt a pair of hand ran up my arms softly as lips moved from my neck, reminding me I was chest to chest with Brett, which had me quickly breaking my gaze with Seth to meet Brett's questioning eyes.
Sending Brett a forced smile, trying to brush off the fact that Seth was here, I continued dancing with Brett, trying to keep my gaze from the guy at the door, horribly failing.
When Brett's hands gripped onto my hips, and pulled me impossibly closer to his body, I couldn't help but let my eyes drift to Seth, hoping that he was somehow as jealous as I was towards the girl standing inches from him. To my disappointment Seth, who was no longer standing in the entrance, wasn't looking at me, his attention solely on the girl with him, his ear close to her mouth as if she was sharing a secret.
Fighting the tears that instantly filled my eyes, I slipped out of Brett's hold, and ran out of the room, away from Seth and the girl he was so comfortable with.
Barging out the house and into the backyard, I heard my name being called behind me, but ignored it and let my eyes scan quickly over the backyard in search of a direction to head.
Deciding on the trees at the back of the yard, I quickly made my way towards them, and sunk to the ground my back against a tree, my eyes set away from the house.
