"New to town with a made up name in the angel's city,
Chasing fortune and fame.
And the camera flashes, make it look like a dream."

IT was during school when Scott brought up the idea of having a New Years party at the penthouse in New York before he sets off across the state to announce the new oil brand his father was setting up across America along.

"I think I'm going to throw a New Years at the penthouse." Scott announced once all his friends took a seat on their bench outside like normal.

"That's actually a really good idea." Isla said with a nod, sipping on her Starbucks.

Cassie hummed in approval, removing herself from Scott's hold so she could throw her rubbish into the bin. On the way, someone outstretched their leg, nearly tripping her over. Gasps scattered across the courtyard as everyone's beady eyes watched her regain her balance smoothly, steadying herself elegantly.

Afterwards, she threw what she wanted to throw away in the bin before gracefully spinning her heels and peering down at the person who tried tripping her over. And surprise, surprise, that person began to cower in fear slightly when she noticed the blaze of anger in Cassie's eyes. Cassie's jaw was tightly clenched but her posture was straight and uptight as the anger boiled through her blood and pumped her adrenaline across her bloodstream.

"Well?" She asked in a calm yet intimidating tone.

The girl glanced at her friends before looking back at Cassie, confusion cover of her face. "Well what?"

Her facial expression didn't even change. "What do you say for yourself?"

The girl, trying to put on a brave mask, scoffed and smirked at her friends, who didn't give one back as if they knew that was the wrong thing to do. Clever ones, them lot. Unlike the girl in front of Cassie.

"What am I meant to say?"

Cassie's lips quirked up slightly, causing the girl to shiver involuntarily. She recognised this girl, the redhead was part of Celia's cronies, no wonder why she did this.

"That's a shame, you clearly weren't taught manners. Do you know what happens to girls who act like bitches?" The girl shook her head slightly and fearfully as Cassie leaned down, her voice low and harsh. "They become bitches."

The girl flinched when hazel eyes penetrated her into a deadly and glaring way. Their eyes never broke even when Cassie asked one of her friends for the girls names to which they replied back with.

"Pearl."

Cassie was amused, feeling the fear that reeked off the bitch like her favourite perfume. She heard about Pearl from Ava and Isla, Pearl's secret was their biggest gossip and their favourite.

"Well, Pearl, a bitch like you needs to be taught her lesson. You didn't apologise, now you accept your consequences." Smirking maliciously down at the redhead, Cassie cocked up a brow. "Do you want me to tell the school about you dinner dates with Mr Bradley? I bet your grades aren't the only thing you're getting an A+ on."

Her eyes widened and her guards fell. Just like that. All her defences crumbled down perfectly just how like Cassie loved it. It fuelled her with power because that was every person, who ever tried to go against her, downfall. Never let your defences down because now the darkness can attack you without mistakes.

"From now on, you're my bitch. Whatever I want, I get. Understood? And in return, I won't tell anyone about your little secret; your reputation with stay intact." Cassie promised.
