04. We fight 1/2

Look at her, she isn't even paying the slightest attention to the movie in front of us. Instead, her eyes are glued to her phone, texting another guy. I can't believe she's really doing this to me. After the vow we made ten months ago.

"Finn Wolfhard, I, (y/n/l/n) promise to never leave your side, nor will I ever break your heart. I will love you as long as the river flows," She said with a smile, and gave me kiss on the cheek.
"I, Finn Wolfhard, will promise to love you, (y/n/l/n), as long as the waters on the water on the waterfall keep falling," I stand up and take her hand. She hugs me, head laying on my chest, and looks up. I lean in, our lips only inches away. I felt her breath on my lips, and seconds later, her lips are on mine.

Just looking at the way she smiled looking at her phone, broke me. "Hey, Finn, you mind if my friend joins us for movie night?" Ugh, is she really inviting him over? You have to be fucking kidding me. "But I thought this was our night babe," She looks at me with those eyes those (e/c) eyes. The eyes that plead, please.
"Fine, if it makes you happy," I roll my eyes, but don't let her see.

"Finn, this is Jacob, Jacob, Finn," I roll my eyes again, but stood up to shake his hand. "Hey man, I am a huge fan of yours. I loved your character in IT," I give him a soft smile, and (y/n) gestures him to sit to her right, while I was on her left.

The movie ended moments later, and (y/n) and Jacob were talking, leaving me out. The smile she gave him, the laugh that came out of her mouth, the way she looked at him. She's in love with him. I know, because she used to look at me that way. (a/n the vow reference :( ) She used to smile at me that way, she used to laugh with me that way.

What had I done wrong, for her to fall for another guy? Was I boring? I know we aren't together all the time, but being with her when I came back to see her, always made me forget my problems. I love her, I still do, and seeing that she has fallen in love with another guy, broke my heart into a million pieces. A tear falls and runs down my face.

I leave them be and run upstairs, looking back to see if she notices. She locks eyes with me, and mouths, 'what's wrong?' I ignore it and continue upstairs.

I lock the door behind me and descend to my bed. More tears start running down my face. I grab the closest thing to me, which was 'conveniently' our picture from our first date, and threw it across the room. How could she do this to me? How? I gave her the world, and this, this is what she does to me? I'm filled with so much anger, so much hurt, so much pain. I felt the heartbreak in my chest. Then, there was a knock on the door. I wipe the tears off my face, and open the door.

"What are you doing here?" I let her in.
"I, uh, told Jacob to go home," Like that makes a difference.
"How long?" I ask her.
"How long what?" She sits on my bed.
"How long have you been in love with, with him?" She stares at me, and for a moment there was nothing but silence.
"I-I don't, Finn I love y-"
"Don't give me that bullshit (y/n) I see the way you smile at him, hell I see the way you look at him!"
"Finn, don't say that, please," she grasps my arm.
"Just, just leave,"
"Finn,"
"JUST GO!" my eyes widened.

Your POV
(a/n okay guys so like idk if this part is gonna be confusing for you, but at some point they're gonna be saying stuff simultaneously. if you don't know what that means, search it up now.)

I ran out of his room, and through the front door, tears running down my face. I am such, such a horrible person. Why, why did I have to do this to him? Why did I cause him pain? Could you even be in love with two people at the same time? I do love Finn, but maybe,

(a/n this is part includes them speaking simultaneously, When Finn says things, they're gonna be in italics, when they say it at the same time, it's underlined, nothing means you're saying it.)

The river stopped flowing, but the water kept falling. I still love her, I hurt him, but maybe we were meant to be separated, only to find each other again.
