I arrived at the theater room and saw that everyone was already there. I sat next to Josie who was sitting next to Neal and Jesse.

Josie grabbed my hand and smiled at me.

"What do you think this is about?"

"No idea.", Josie shrug.

Our phones vibrated.

Enjoy the show

I felt myself getting anxious.

Suddenly, the lights shut off. The screen turned on, revealing a courtroom. I recognized a young Josie and Joey.

"People of the court, I am overjoyed to introduce to you all, Joséphine Noelle Fisher.", a woman said.

Everyone in court began cheering. Josie flashed a huge smile. Jennifer hugged her.

I looked at Josie and saw her wiping a tear.

"Are you okay?"

She sniffled. Everyone looked at her.

"I'm fine."

"Jo, you're not fine. What is it?"

She wiped another tear.

"I remember that day. I thought I found my forever home, but I was wrong and Joey, I swear to God if you call me an ungrateful bitch, I will literally murder you.", she shot a glare at Joey.

He looked down.

I rubbed her back as the video stopped.

A different one began playing. Jennifer was in a bedroom with a man. They were kissing.

"Oh my god.", Neal said.

I turned to him and his face was red.

"What is it?"

Jennifer looked embarrassed and Josie looked amused.

"That's Neal's dad. Way to go, Jennifer.", Josie said with a laugh.

"Neal, I am so sorry.", Jennifer apologized.

He didn't respond. Suddenly the video changed.

A dark-haired woman appeared on the screen. She smiled at the camera.

She was in a hospital gown and was handed a baby wrapped in a blanket.

"Dennis, can you believe we're parents?"

"This doesn't even seem real.", A deep voice said.

She smiled at the baby and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"What are you going to name her?", a nurse asked.

"Joséphine. Joséphine Noelle Parks."

"That's a pretty name."

I turned to Josie.

"Mom..", I heard her whisper.

"Do you remember her?"

She shook her head as tears rolled down her face.

"When can I take her home?"

"As soon as you finish the paperwork."

"I'll go do that.", the deep voice stated.

The camera was handed to Josie's mom and then the door closed.

The baby immediately began crying.

"Shh. It's okay, Joséphine. Mommy's here. Don't cry, my sweet girl."

I hugged Josie.

"I'm so sorry."

"What did I do that was so bad that she left me?", she sobbed.

I rubbed her back.

"I can't do this.", Josie said as she stood up and headed for the door.

She tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge.

Our phones vibrated.

You're not going anywhere.
