It was Friday. It was also Christmas Eve, which happened to be Louis' birthday. Both boys went to sleep early the night before to make sure that they would not waste the next day in bed. They had fallen a sleep with Louis' face on Harry's chest and Harry's arms around Louis' waist.

Harry was the first one to wake up. The time being 7:45. And he led there, looking down at the beauty beside him. Trailing patterned in the tanned skin of Louis' back, Harry admired his boyfriend. He watched quietly as Louis' eyes fluttered in his sleep. Small breaths leaving his lips. He looked peaceful. And it was a very pleasant sight to see altogether.

It wasn't until 8:54 that Louis finally stirred and a loud grumble left his mouth. Harry smiled down at the other boy.

"G'morning birthday boy." Louis couldn't help the ends of his lips from curling upwards. He sat up, pushing his hands on the mattress to stretch a little before he turned his body to face Harry. Harry sat up and pressed their lips together. It was nothing too steamy, as both hadn't brushed their teeth, it was just a simple press of the lips. When they broke apart, Harry hooked his arms around Louis' waist and lifted him into his lap.

"Happy birthday baby." Harry whispered, leaning forward to press his lips against Louis' once more.

Five minutes later and the boys were both walking down the stairs, hand in hand. When they walked into the kitchen, Anne was stood by the stove, a stack of pancakes on the table.

"Something smells good." Louis admitted, announcing their presence as well as praising Anne's cooking.

"Oh," Anne said in surprise turning around to face the two. She looked over and smiled at her son, looking down at the joint hands before walking over to Louis and pulling him into a hug. "Happy birthday!" She cheered.

Louis pulled his hand out of Harry's grip, in surprise, wrapping his arms around Anne, returning the hug. "Thank you."

Pulling away, Anne took a step back letting Harry pick up Louis' hand once more. "There are pancakes on the table for you both, me and your father have already eaten so don't be shy, eat all you can. There is maple syrup along with honey and cream next to them. Help yourself." She clapped her hands together in a sign of accomplishment, turned the stove off and then left the boys on their own to eat.

"She must really like you, she doesn't even do this on my birthday." Harry joked, pulling the chair out for the birthday boy. Louis laughed and sat down once Harry helped him find where he had to park his bottom.

Harry shared out the pancakes, placing four on Louis' plate, even though Louis shouted at him, saying that he would not be able to eat that many. He also passed Louis the honey and cream when he had asked him.

"They are sooo good." Louis said, mouthful.

Harry looked up from his plate where he was cutting his food and looked over to the boy opposite him. He couldn't help the small laugh and smile when he saw the cream in the corners of Louis' mouth.

"Lou?"

"Mhm?"

"Lick your lips." Harry watched from his seat as Louis' cheeks flushed a darker shade of red and his tongue darted out across his lips, ridding all of the access food.

Breakfast was soon over. Louis had managed to eat only two and a half of the four pancakes he was given, Harry however had eaten all four of his. When Louis had asked how he did it, Harry just claimed it was because he was taller. Louis knew that was crap, Harry was just greedy.
