This is the last chapter and I can't believe it. Like wtaf It feels like I started this yesterday omfg. I don't want this to end :(.. The Epilogue will be up soon btw :).

(Just to let you know, I have no idea how long this surgery would take so I guessed..)

Two hours after getting the news, and Dr. Johnson had gone through all of the risks and everything had been signed and payed for, Louis was now prepped and ready to go.

"I love you so much Lou, I'll see you after." Joe kissed Louis' cheek before she left the room. Harry moved forward, towards the bed and gripped ahold of Louis' hand.

"Harry?"

"Mmh?"

"I'm going to be able to see you."

"I know baby. I know." Harry leant forward capturing Louis' lips with his own. "I love you." He mumbled.

"I love you." Louis agreed kissing harry one last time before the door opened.

"Louis, you ready?"

Harry stepped back and watched Louis taking a shaky breath before he nodded his head. "Let's do this." Dr. Johnson laughed along with Harry. Harry let go of Louis' hand and the doctor plus the lady from earlier (who's name is Kathy) pushed the bed out of the room.

Harry took a deep breath as he stood where he was left. Joe soon entered with two steaming coffees in her hands and a smile apparent on her face. She handed Harry a cup and he thanked her quietly. "What if he doesn't like the look of me?" Harry asked.

Joe laughed. "Honey, Louis isn't like that. He's fallen in love with you as a person. He'd always told me that he wanted to find the perfect person for him. He said that he wanted them to be someone he could look at everyday and just think they were more beautiful than they were the day before. Said that he didn't want to judge anyone on how they looked. And no matter how cliché as it sounds, he said that he cared more about what was underneath. Believe me when I say that your going to be just fine. You two were made for each other." Harry didn't take his eyes off of the mum as she took a sip of her coffee. And then he smiled a stupid goofy smile. Because he knew that she was probably right. That, and he just loves Joe so much.

Two and a half hours later, Harry was sat in the waiting room alongside Joe. He had his eyes closed, and his head leant on the cold white painted wall. His earphones were plugged into his phone and he quietly played through the albums that Louis had got him for Christmas. It's still so strange to him at the fact that he is actually hearing things. Words really couldn't describe how amazing sound is.

However, his music session had to end when Kathy came into the small waiting area and looked over at the two. Harry paused the music and pulled the earphones out of his ears. He looked over at the young girl and waited for her to speak.

"The operation all went to plan. Louis should be waking up very soon and when he does we will know the outcome. You can go in and see him now if you would like. He's in room three." And then she smiled once more before walking out of the room. Harry had the biggest smile on his face. Butterflies in his stomach seemed to be fluttering faster than they ever had done before.

Joe was the first to walk into the room and she rushed over to the bed, grabbing ahold of Louis' left hand. Harry did the same, but took his right. The room was dark but still lit. Harry guessed it was incase Louis awoke, so the light wouldn't damage his eyes. He scanned his boyfriend face, his eyes were covered by some kind of cloth to protect them.

"Thank you. Thank you so much." He heard Joe croak. He looked over at the older woman and smiled. "I really don't no how to repay you. You really are an amazing person. What you have done for Louis- it's- it's incredible."

"I really love him, Joe. I really will do anything for him. And if doing all of this means that he will be able to actually see his future- see me, than I'll do anything for it to happen." Harry looked back down at louis and rubbed his thumb against the older boys hand. "I love him so much."

It took another hour for Louis to stir awake. He made a small noise as he shifted in the uncomfortable hospital bed.

"'Arry?"

Harry jumped from the navy blue cushioned seat, grabbing ahold of Louis' hand in a hurry. Joe's eyes widened as she placed her coffee on the bedside table and repeated Harry's movements.

"I'll go get the nurse." Joe announced. She rubbed Louis' hand once before letting go and walking out of the room.

"How do you feel baby?" Harry asked. He scanned his boyfriends face. His soft brown hair all feather like and spread out on the cushion. He really was in need of a hair cut, but that had been the last thing on his mind this past week.

"Scared." Louis bit his lip softly. "What if it didn't work?"

"It'll be okay, Lou." Harry didn't get chance to say anything else before the door opened and Joe walked in, followed by the Doctor and Nurse.

"Hello Louis." Dr Johnson smiled, his hands entwined in front of him.

"Hi." Louis coughed slightly, chocking on his own word.

"Are you ready to take off the bandages?" Louis didn't trust himself to speak again, so he just nodded his head against the white pillow.

Kathy smiled at Harry as he let go of Louis' hand. She walked around the bed, ending up by the pillow, just next to Louis' head. "Okay, I'm going to take off the left first, and then the right. Try and keep them closed at first. When both bandages are off, open them slowly and do not look directly at any light."

And then she took of the white material. Left first, next the right. Harry stood to the side, his fingers in his mouth as hit bit at his nails. The nerves got the best of him, but he quite frankly didn't give a damn at that moment. He stood silent as Kathy took a step back away from the bed.

"Louis. Can you open your eyes for me?"

Harry watched as Louis' eyes fluttered open and shut. He watched as Louis looked around the hospital room and at him. He wasn't sure if Louis could see him or not, the way the older boys expression didn't change, scared Harry. Did it work?

"Lou?" He asked.

Louis blinked as Harry took a step towards the bed. Louis smiled and Harry immediately felt like his world stopped. Like the whole world had stopped spinning in that exact moment just so everyone in the room could appreciate it for just that little bit longer.

"C-Can you-"

"See you? Yeah, Harry, I can." Harry fell forward onto his boyfriend, hugging him tightly as he cried. Louis never thought, that if he got his sight back, he would love the feeling of closing his eyes, having the darkness come back. But it just felt right to let his eye lids fall. To hug Harry back as tight as humanly possible.

He couldn't believe that he had seen Harry. Yeah, okay, his vision is a little blurry at the moment, but that's normal. In a couple of days forward, he would be able to actually see the green of his lovers eyes that he had heard so much about from Joanna and Lexus.

"I love you." Harry whispered quietly, still crying and holding Louis tight.

"I love you too, so so much." Louis opened his eyes again, pulling out of the hug. Harry pushed himself up, just so louis and him could make eye contact. Louis lent forward, his lips brushing over Harry's. Harry smiled into the kiss, remembering the first time Louis had tried to kiss him by himself.

This was the day Louis had been able to see Harry for the first time. The day he had seen the most important person using his eyes. There is a first time for everything, as they say. And both boys know they have a few more 'first times' left for them in the future.

Because of course, they have a whole other book to fill.
