Chapter 11

I fished out some of my notes inside my bag and put it on my table. I checked my phone if there's any message from my best friend and see none. Busy again? Yeah. She have some family issues and I don't meddle with her issues though she's opened with it. Still I don't wanna be a nosy best friend.

Besides I have mine, too.

Maybe if I was still a 7 years old kid I'd be excited hearing that my parents have arrived and will have their dinner here. Maybe if I was still that 7 years old kid I'll be jumping in joy hearing that they're here but no. I am 17 years old right now and I had enough of my expectations when I was a kid. Been there done that. Cried a river because they can't come on my birthdays 'cause they are busy growing our business so they have money to feed us two, kuya and I.

Because of my respect to them, I fixed my tied hair and change my sando to a white shirt and pants. Mom's kinda strict when it comes to clothes. Dad, well he doesn't care not even a bit and I'm used to it. Got tired asking him why he can't look to me, why he's like that.

"Mom.

"How was school?"

"Fine."

"Heard that you got yourself in to street fights again, Jarrix?"

"Nothing new, dad. Still the same good news, huh?"

"Your tone, young man."

That's normal in my ears.

"How about you, young lady?" baling nito sa akin

"Still the same, dad. My grades still on top, nothing to worry about me." I chewed my food after I said those.

"I heard you have a boyfriend? What's his name again? Jermiah Francisco."

"I have none, dad. You've got a wrong information."

"Make sure of that, young lady. I won't tolerate that kind of behavior."

"As if, dad. What about my behavior?"

"What about you, son?" si mommy na iyon

"Oh, don't act like you didn't know. Kahit malayo kayo alam niyo pa rin, still a parent in that part though."

"Get straight to the point, Jarrix!" sa sobrang tahimik ng hapag ay dumagundong ang naggagalaiting boses ngayon ng ama namin.

"What's wrong with Cassandra having a boyfriend? Forbidding her, e? While I fucked more than two girls in a day and yet you haven't react like that?"
